On this plane the elevator balsa is week where the metal wire slids into the holes so I will use the two flat sides of a control horn and screw them together this may work.

Receveid mine the other week and built up using the Turnigy 3548 750kv , 12x6 APC prop, 60 Amp speedcontroler. This is a real nice plane. Had 5 easy flights and on the sixth flight the elevator fell off . Plane went down like a brick totaly destroying the fuse. wing damage to. Rebuilt wings and recovered. Rebuilt the fuse with what was left and recovered. Plane now has a weight of 2.25kg. Put a 4248 motor 14x8 prop plane struggled in flight that could be motor amp to high has 1250amps or prop to small and may need to use 16x6 and thats to big. May have to run a 5 cell. that will make the plane to heavy so got a 3548 comming. Will see what happens..

The plane has problems with the elevator makes flotter. The base of the elevator is very weak and breaks. another problem is the spare parts and the canopy broke and I have not confirmed that spares nothing.

If he had been informed of this would not have bought the plane.

This was my first Balsa plane, The build was easy even for a first timer after watching lots of you tube video footage the only thing that should be made aware is the elevator, the metal rod that inserts into the elevator at either side of the rudder should be reinforced, i used a servo horn at either side just to make it stronger. The money shot flies like a dream and at some points it felt like somebody had just slowed time down altogether, giving me the same buzz i got when i successfully landed my first rc plane. You dont have to be a master to fly the money shot but it certainly makes you feel like a pro.

Got mine and it took 6 hours to build it. Aluminium tube fitted well.

Only few small things. Wheels axel screw was too long. Rudder "baluster" both heads reinforced with nylon plate and carbon rod. Turnigy 3548 900kv motor was too lazy for me. With 12x6 prop and 4s 3000mah (680w) after hovering hardly climbed vercically up. Also motor was hot after 6 minutes flight, even without spinner. Weight with battery was about 1900g.

Plane was good quality and nice funfly plane. 15 flights and nothing bad to say. Only little too calm for my taste.

***strengthen the tail where the fuselage and stabilizer meet***

Building was very easy and all the parts fit and went together well. I was quite impressed with the size of the plane but a bit disappointed at first with the weight. It weighed 1485 without a battery and this was to be the flying weight.

First flights were quite impressive, this plane marvels at slow speed. You can actually drag the tail on the runway before landing. The plane flies all sport aerobatic maneuvers very well. It tracks very well and needs very little correction in knife edge with normal rudder deflection. Vertical power is excellent for sport aerobatic flying. Flight times are around 8-9 minutes with this setup.

I would rate this planes 3D flying capability as average. The plane has enough power to pull out of a hover with the setup above but it isn't ballistic. The plane will not hairier or do elevators without wing rocking really bad. I believe this is due to the thickness of the wing. A pity that is what makes the slow flight so good. This plane does however do excellent water falls and will torque roll with the best of them. F

Lovely plane to look at . Maiden flight was fantastic. a real floater. Second flight not good as the rear stabilizer broke clean off the fuselage . Not from the glue joint either -just a stress fracture as the wood is a actually paper.
I would stay away from this model.

With the exception of absolutely NO instructions at all this model was the highest quality balsa ARF I've seen ever. Everything fit perfectly except one anti-rotation peg on one wing was a tad offset. Search YouTube for help search Google for help if you're not sure how to set it up. The built was a blast! I used a trick my father taught me to make the wing tube slide easier I rubbed the tube through my hair the light oil in the hair was all that was needed. You WILL want to reinforce the elevator at the point the connecting wire between the two elevators points into the balsa. If you want to make it as light as possible forgo the tail servo installation and use pull pull for rudder. This will allow a smaller battery (2200) and a more floaty plane. If you find any cracked ribs use C.A. in a hypo to apply to the ribs through the covering. Turnigy MG930 servos are the bomb! NTM 25-48 is all the balls you'll need. Use CG 1/3 back for 3D and 1/4 back for first flights. Might want to consider tail wheel system product number OR025-01102 to replace the included tail wheel. While you're at it consider the sullivan pull pull kit - product S520 to facilitate the rudder = and use two elevator servos rather than one. .. just saying...

After seeing friends flying 3D Harrier style planes at the local field I knew I wanted something similar but was unable to find one anywhere. Seeing the Money Shot on the HK site seemed to tick all the boxes. The price was excellent as well.

The kit arrived very quickly from HK Australia. No real damage was caused on transit however I did find that two of the wing dowels had been knocked out. After rattling the wing around to get them out they were soon expoxied back in place. A quick spray of silicon lubricant helped the wing tube slip into the wings. I also found that once the wings were attached there was a gap of about 10mm at the rear wing root to the fuselage sides. The wing bolts are set well forward so I added an extra wing bolt at the rear of each wing to pull the wing into the fuselage. I don't intend removing the wings in any case.

I had read some other reviews where the stab and elevators have come adrift. I made sure they were securely glued and I haven't experienced any problems so far. I did knock out the bottom/front firewall (?) when pushing the battery forward - after this I wicked CA around the main structures just to strenthen things up.

The engine / battery combo is the same as recommended on the HK site, that is the 35/48 900kv motor, 55 ESC, micro servos, 4s 3300mah batteries with a 12/6 prop. Being new to electrics I am not sure on the

This really is a great plane to fly, it is very light and performs all 3d maneuvers well (knife edge requires a bit of Tx mixing to get right though) and I would almost buy another one because it is the best 3d plane I have flow in this price range. However the tails on these are weak, I have had 2 of these and on both of them the tail has snapped off in mid flight. Where the tail is glued into the rear of the fuse there is not enough support and the plywood just snaps out. If this was fixed it would be a great plane.
