I bought this to go into my 1/10th drift chassis.
Very easy to program, it was actually my first new system so my first time programming and I found it very easy to figure out.
Good torque even when not on the highest motor timing setting and with the right gearing it's a perfect system for a drifter.
I installed it in my 1/10th buggy when I was bored of the drifter and wasn't overly impressed with it, purely because of the low KV motor.
I'm still unsure if the motor will take a 3s LiPo, so haven't tested it although I imagine if it will, that would wake it right up compared to the 2s I was running in it.
Overall I'm happy with it and have since bought more brushless motors and a new ESC for another buggy.

Awesome kit, used for my axial wraith, smooth acceleration, nice top speed for this kind of truck... perfect for crawling too, the only thing, I would like to be able to remove the 2 seconds neutral delay between forward & reverse. But still a great buy!!!

This kit offers so much torque the main gear of my sons 1:10 buggy got stripped within the first battery pack (changed the main gear to steel). On 3-cell this combo offers a little bit too much speed :-). The programing card is a great feature, especially when there is a need to "wind down" the power. Great upgrade and buy!

Bought this to have it in my 4-year olds Electrix Torment, 2wd 1/10 short course. The program card, with the ability to reduce top speed and so on was the reason for this. Great program card btw.

First a few problems: after about 5-6 packs, the motor sensor seems to have stopped working, causing the car to only stutter and not run while the cable is in. Removed it and the car seemed to work just as with the cable in, as if the sensor is just bs anyway. So if you choose this for the sensor option, don't bother.

Other thing is that the first few packs were LiPo's and I therefore had the esc programmed to auto lipo detect, and to cut of at highest possible voltage. This caused some headache when I used nimh's, since the esc wanted to cut of at voltage where the nimh's work fine. I thought the esc was broken, since the car wouldn't run, but I had to turn of the lipo cutoff completely to use nimhs, and that doesn't make it seem like its a very modern esc. Backwards programming...

On the plus side, the engine seems to have decent enough power, and the runtimes are nice. No hot motor and no hot esc. Program card makes esc changes very easy. I am used to CC 1/8 esc's and using a pc to change things, so this was easy.

That's a great upgrade for any SCT, Buggy or rally bar. Lot of Torque, low consumption ( depending on gearing... ). Smooth start, great acceleration, low heating. Can be used on crawler or expedition car too.....

I put this on a Losi Strike and was very impressed. Very easy to program with the card, and easy upgrade to perform. Programmed on lowest settings will lift front tires off the ground.Speed is better than the stock setup.I only gave 4 stars because have not had long enough to tell the durability.
