Be careful, glue the wings and the elevator

I think it is a nice plane, easy to transport and funny to fly.
It flies fast and jet similar, takes off from the grass or the calm water...
Only, I broke mine during the first flight, because it lost the elevator while flyng. The HK provides a double side tape to assemble these parts; do not thrust it! it is better that you use some two components glue to put them together.

Nice plane, but built down to a price

After one flight the rudder servo stopped working. Replacing this servo involves some very delicate surgery as the servos in the fin are installed before the two fin halves are glued together. Durability not very impressive.
Other than that the model flew well, quite stable, takes off well on water.

Everything works ok except motor. All the beeps but no rotation. We all had a go at programming by tx and card. Used my own ESC and now ok, so ESC must be faulty. Took the prop off to find thread locked by glue used for spinner. Had to destroy adapter to get it off, replaced with my own. Also noted that prop hole much larger than adapter shaft, no way to centre....Also wonder about cooling, there is none!

Its a great plane for a great price. Fly's great, no bad habbits. stalls recover quickly and no noticable ground affect when landing. I like it.

I bought this plane a while ago and everything was fine, flies very well and no complaints about the servo's and esc. Goes together in half an hour. On the 8th flight while cruising around on half throttle a noticed that the rpm of the motor was decreasing so I landed to check. The motor had sagged on the cowling and melted half way through. At home after cutting of the spinner and cowling I took the motor out and the back of the firewall had melted taking the motor down with it. Just a matter of cheap construction of the firewall. Now I am left with a plane which I can throw in the bin because the damage is so large that repair makes no sense. I fly the plane on a 3S 1500 25-50C Nanotech pack so that can not be the problem. Any one else have this problem ? I don't understand why HK sells a very good flying plane whith a motor mount that is not suited for the use. For a few bucks more this problem would not exist and they would have a quality product. I am realy having doubts about buying the next foamy to be honest.

Love the plane. Balance the prop. Makes a world of difference. I added large water rudder. Not advised unless you intend to use on water only

A great plane that I have to downgrade to one star because there are NO SPARES. Selling a plane with no spares is like selling a car without tires. Yeah, you may be flying for a few days, but eventually even the best pilot breaks something and THEN YOU ARE SOL. This design is copied form the Joysway Dragonfly, so you could conceivably buy parts for that, but they're only sold in Europe and the prices and shipping are so high you might as well buy two planes from HK to have one for spares. HK should take this plane off their website until they decide to be a responsible merchant and support what they sell with spares. Until then, all you're buying is RC snake oil.
