I just combined two of these sets to build up an OCTOCOPTER. I only glued two of these quadcopters one over another with 45 degree angle. Eight escs flycolour 10A and the Multiwii pro with GPS and a battery 2500mah 25c 2s. the total weight including battery is about 700gramms and that for a price of about 200 USD. You cannot build an Octocopter cheaper! Everything works fine. The motors run okay. Because of the special construction of this frame you have to take care that the propellers 5040 are very well balanced to avoid vibrations. The next days it will take the maiden flight.

Really nice way to start to learn multirotors
Motors turn too fast for a multi and are no so balanced but enough good

DON'T USE suggested props. Try instead three blade 5x3, they push equally and are 10 times better

good frame, but motors are really bad. received this frame with 4 motors - 2 motors strongly unbalanced, 1 motor has slow speed because of quality issue. unfortunately, it isnt possible to take off with these motors. had ordered separated turnigy motors. I dont recommend to buy this set, save your money and buy frame and motors separately.

I did not realized how light and durable it was until I switched to some other better looking frames. The 250 Turnigy frame is a disaster. The Q450 is heavy. I am switching back to this.

The motors have been fine so far. Sand got inside at times, just needed to clean and lub them after flight.

Arrived today. all in good condition and in a surprisingly small box, At first glance i looked sceptacle about the strength of the frame but as i built it. It was really strong. The motors supplied are great and provide good thrust, am yet to fly it but will come back to everyone when i have :D i highly resomend the product. cheers Hk

I found this kit to be of great quality. The laser cut parts fit together very nicely and the motors run very smooth. They also are quite powerful for their size. This was my first Quad and I am adicted.



It is certainly a bit fragile, so keep it low until you get it trimmed. Once trimmed, it is quite stable and is surprisingly agile.



I am using (4) Turnigy plush 12amp esc's, 2S2P 20C Turnigy 1300 LiPoly's, and GWS 5 x 3 (3) blade contra props. It flies over 15 minutes on this set-up hovering at 1/3 throttle. I used the HobbyKing Multi-Rotor Control Board V2.1 (Atmega168PA) for it as well.
