Best "budget" BL ESC ! Reliable, simple, upgrade it with an Hobbywing Firmware and RACE !!!! I use it with a 10.5T motor, it's just perfect, both for drift or club-racing (in a TD10).

Leider nur mit Programierkarte einzustellen also unbedingt gleich mitbestellen. Sicherheitsabschaltung bei blockieren des Motors hat bei einem unfreiwilligen Test funktioniert. Regelverhalten ist sehr angenehm. Einzig die Umschaltung auf Reverse dauert mir pershnlich etwas zu lange ist aber trotzdem noch okay. Wrde ihn sofort wieder kaufen.

I have this installed on a T4.1 with a Tacon 10.5T motor and I couldn't be more pleased. It's a lot of fun because I can keep up with guys running $200 setups, at a fraction of the cost. I figured even if I get one and it needs replaced I'm still at half the cost of a big name brand ESC. I don't even turn up the motor timing because it causes the motor to heat up too rapidly. The only thing I would change is for this ESC to have solder tabs instead of the preinstalled wires. I could have used longer, better quality wire to connect to my motor instead of the "just long enough" wires that came with it. I am very happy with my purchase and I will order more ESCs from HK in the future!

This seems to be a really nice ESC so far. Throttle response is smooth, and most features are programmable....which brings me to my one big complaint: This ESC CAN NOT be programmed without the programming card. What a disappointment! In my experience, the card is typically a time saver, not a requirement. Not so in this case....without the card, the only think I can figure out how to do is set the throttle range. that's it, nothing else.



So it's a nice ESC, but for cheapskates like me who will spend some extra time to save a few bucks, it's frustrating. If you're going to buy this, budget an extra $5 for the programming card....which now puts you into the price range of larger ESCs that DON'T require the programming card.

I just can't get enough of these nice little ESCs.

They are basically the same much used "STOCK" 45a sensored ESC that is sold under various brand names, but at half or the price or even less. Why throw away your money at a brand when you can get the same solid product from Hobbyking?

I use these in almost all my 1/10 brushless TCs, can't get enough of them. Highly recommended.
