Think twice buying this ESC,I've had 2 now been replaced, HobbyKing just post another bad ESC.
The problem is,these escs do not callobrate!
And the software available on this site don't work.
This is Doggie Doge's crap.Hobbyking should be a shamed of its self too even sell a broken item!
ACCC will be getting involved.Anyone else having same issue please post to my email address viperman.dion@gmail.com as we can use your clam as evidence as well this is wrong for a company that fool the consumer into fause cheap items that don't work as they describe.

So the one I ordered was faulty,Would not calibrate with motor.Hobbyking software don't work.
Hobbyking support have been great,I've sent back for a replacement.
Hope next one works.For the price point it's a good solid ESC,just software issues.

Installed this with the Turnigy sensored motor into my Traxxas Summit to replace the old unsensored system. Works ok out of the box, only downside is, that you cannot program this without a programming card. I tried to use my Hobbywing card, but ran into problems over and over again. I managed to find the ZTW program card, and that works great with this.

the best cheapest esc 150a

I have been to competiotion with 2 of these esc:s there are glitches in the software. It is nor fully propartianl with high kv motors. But all in all it is so cheap (1/2) the cost of the next cheapest branded esc. This is a ztw esc. the same as ss150 but not waterproof The glitch comes from racing with a trackstar 3400k sensored motor. The same for a toro 2500kv. Running on 4s i 1/8 Gte cars. the esc goes from 80% to full power. Like a turbo kicks in. For a 1/8 gte with a lot of grip, it will go to protectmode stopping the motor dead for an instant. The remedy is to set power to 80 percent and increase pinion. this makes the punch much softer. did nor see a problem this time. For a buggy or a truggy this might not be an issue at all. Also all ztw esc has the option to take out power. But why not have an option to take ouit 10% ? the steps are 20 to 90 %

ESC exploded spectacularly on 4s

After less than 3 months of use, this ESC released so much smoke that I thought my battery had exploded. I hope my motor is ok.

I have two of these can’t program them as the cards don’t work, the low voltage cut off is stuck on auto which gives the wrong cell count and I can’t change it so it just goes into LVC all the time.
Bought a hobbywing SRT 70amp just plug and play no fuss works perfect

I bought together with HOBBYWING MULTIFUNCTION LCD PROGRAM BOX but cannot connect to program the ESC, still waiting reply from hobbyking for a solution
