after a quick experiment I found that it functions on the 5v supply from an Arduino Mega.
an LED on the unit comes on when a magnet is close and goes off when it pulls away.
I believe the term for this is NON LATCHING.

3.3v test results using an Arduino Nano were the same.

Crude tests I know, but its something.
I have not worked with the sensor connection, just applied voltage is all.
