i have built the kds 550 kit and all parts went together very well the quality of the kit is first rate i would say as good as other top end helis and very smooth in flight so happy with it i have now put i an order for the 700,hk please stock spares for kds in the uk and you would sell more helis.

No issues at all in the build, quite easy build. Robust boom with great belt. Seems like pretty good aluminium. Frame is 2mm. Performance: Really good

Really nice heli. Fun to build and very good quality. Mine arrived with no Rx plate and the old short bottom frame plate, without the extension at the front to hold the battery strap. I really miss not having this because this heli is very tail heavy and the battery needs to go a long way forward. Without a strap on the front the battery can easily come loose. The canopy looks different to the picture. It's a new V2 version that looks like the original V1 version with a new paint job and slightly lower at the back. Don't drill your holes in the canopy until you can see where your battery needs to go, as it's unlikely you will be able to sit the canopy where it's shown in the picture. Also the pinion provided is bad. The hole is too big and the pinion will orbit. Also the main gear lost a tooth on my 3rd flight. Mesh was perfect and I have a good quality "hard one" pinion and a very soft start. I suspect the latest gear plastic in not flexible enough. The blades are good and well balanced. I ended up using a 15T pinion and the Turnigy 600 1180kv motor. This is a good combo for this heli. Servos are 3 x Turnigy 1257TG and the HK47110DMG Mi servo. FBL controller is the fu-bar, which works brilliantly. The heli flies well and is very smooth. It also gets up and goes fast if you want it to. With the 3kW motor I mentioned above this heli is ballistic in pitch pumps. The tail is very strong with the stock 95mm blades. All up a great heli but the issues drop it to 4 stars.

Only the build so far. Kit is of very high quality, only a slight default in one of the carbon fiber panels (likely because of a bump during transport). Instructions are clear, though a few more explanations in places would help (like how to get the main gear on). Servo setup makes access to that area very easy, and the large battery tray makes battery placement easy (5000Mah 6S fit easily). Little details like the canopy grommets at the front of the heli ensure putting the canopy on is simple and avoids damaging the canopy (and makes the fit very snug).
