Tough and durable little quad frame, east to build and fly

Ok, back from the build experience - it's quite a challenge getting all the wires tucked in. I managed to mount the ESC's over the arms so that it gets some cooling. The bottom main frame was slightly warped, not an issues but just what to expect. I also noticed the LED housing when mounted pointing down at the back would slightly touch the ground causing the frame to pitch forward, not good during calib, also while landing, eventually it would break. So I have them mounted pointing up also used longer screws. The led's themselves are quite bright (mine are red). With 2300kv, 4045 stock props, 3S 30C, no FPV and CC3D settings for zmr 250, I have to say there was no tuning reqd, flew straight out, no twitching. But feels slightly underpowered, probably be better of with 3000 kv motors for this, or will have try 4045 BN props.

Very happy so far - I mean for this price what you get is incredible. Dont know the quality of the PDB and regulator onboard, time will tell. What I'm really happy is I didn't have to do any mods to put this together with std parts. Motors lack protection, so crashes will be bad.

First up, the frame feels overall on the upper side of quality. The material looks quite good for the price. Some issues already mentioned by others such as center standoff getting in the way of FC. Also the space between the PDB and frame bottom side is not enough to hide the ESC's, forget it. Other than that, the PDB itself is pretty ok - you have multiple solder points for VCC, and 5V o/p's for powering the FC and LED (nice addition). An important thing to note is it provides both 5v and 12v along the video connection points front and back, which is a great feature. I still haven't flown this one yet, but it looks promising. Hope there wont be too much flex. It will always be a tight fit with FPV gear, but should be achievable. Overall a great value-frame from HK. Hope it flies just the same.
