This item is constructed of good solid metal ( not aluminum ), with a coat of black paint, so it's sturdy, not easily bendable, but of course, as expected, heavier than if it was aluminum. This mount comes in handy in situations when you mount your motor directly to your aircraft's firewall and your aircraft utilizes a cowl but your motor's propeller shaft does not adequately clear the nose of the cowl. This mount allows you to obtain that clearance you need and this 22mm depth mount seems more than adequate for my needs. If you need more clearance, then look at some of the others, here at Hobby King ( HK ), which have a larger depth measurement. The four pre-drilled motor bolt holes did not suit my particular motor application. However the surface area on the face of the mount, with the four pre-drilled motor bolt holes, is adequate enough where I can drill out my own holes and this is what I intend to do. I generally purchase items from the HK International warehouse ( Hong Kong ) which I am unable to get from my local HK warehouse, or if it's more cost effective, and this item was one of them. I received my package of items in only 10-days with low cost but reliable Swiss Post Direct Channel shipping, which also included excellent package tracking.

Very good product which fits nicely and tight on my plane firewall. It has a right angle thrust ready make too! Just apply a little down will do the job for a perfect flying. Thanks HK with such great product & most of all good prices. Cheers!
