Love this motor. I run them on 8S, 20A Afro HV controllers and a 18x 5.5 Quanum DJI style CF prop
1000g thrust at 9.8g/w 2000g around at 7.7g/w and a whoping 4600g peak thrust (!) at 4.7g/w with newly charged batteries, two 4S 8000mAh zippys in series. Amazing that the Afro 20A ESC seems to be able to withstand the 31A peak current draw. First time I found HobbyKing products to be underrated :-)

Great motor.
Setup: 8s Lipo, turningy 18x6.1 wooden multirotor prop, 40A HV mulistar ESC.
7.5g/w @2000g thrust
6g/w @ 3400g (max throttle on 8s, 29.6V)
Motor weight, 211g is with looong wires, the motor itself is around 190g
Nothing gets hot at full throttle, only warm.

OK. I have finally tested these motors on a Tarot x6 hex. Im using Flycolor 45amp escs. 20,000mah 10c Multistar 6s batt. Pixhawk Flight controller. THESE MOTORS are FLAWLESS!!!!!! Props are Tarot 18.55 carbon. Motor prop combo is perfect. Hovers at Mid stick with no change of mid throt adj. I get 27min hover in pos hold. Motors/escs com down cool. As i said,these motors are rebranded ARRIS 288kv. they are $89.00 as Arris sells them,and HK sells them for $50ish-All i can say is OUTSTANDING price and even BETTER motor.DO NOT HESITATE!!!

Ok-This motor is not an 8s motorspecs say 22v max. it is a rebranded Aries 5010 288kv motor 6s max-SAME MOTOR!!!!! On 6s this motor works awesome on 6s with 1855 propson tarot x6

So far,the build quality is outstanding!!! I have used several Multistar motors on many hex-quads which have exceeded my expectations-SERIOUSLY!!!! They have all held up with proper maint./!!!! A drop of oil will do wonders. You want your furnace motor to lastoil the bearingsHINT-HINT!!
