This is the first "Alpha" I have owned. Over all I am extremely please and VERY VERY surprised with this plane. I decided to go with the recommended set up and again, extremely happy with everything. The motor, prop and battery gives this plane unlimited vertical!!! Another great thing is that I can usually fly it at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle for 20minutes or more on one battery. Probleme: Beim mitgelieferten Spinner muss man die Verschlusskappe mit Sekundenleim befestigen, sonst fliegt sie weg.

Etwas nervenaufreibend ist auch das Aufbringen der Aufkleber.

A friend bought one these and just couldn't get it dialed in. He gave the plane to me and I imediately found the problem. You have to balance it a little nose heavy. Use a 400 outrunner & a 1350mah 3s. and your good to go. My Alfa planes. fly great. I couldn't be happier. I'm glad to see Hobby City sell them at a better price.

Alfa P-51 Marie

I've purchased a number of Alfas over the past few months. they all fly great, and the Marie is one of the best of them. its silhouette looks terrific in a low bank-very slippery airframe. I've put the hacker Style Brushless Outrunner 20-26M (that Hobby City also sells) in a few of my Alfas - plenty of power from this very inexpensive motor. Great combination.

It's not a foamie

Alfa models aren't foamies. They are balsa with the outer skin being a thin covering of high density foam. It's most certainly not a styrofoam model.

I bought 1 and friend bought one. Do not balance you plane on the marks under the wing. you will have a tail heavy plane. you will have to put the 3 cell 1320 ma tp battery about 2 1/2 inches forward into the nose to get the model to balance.
