I am using this servo on my gasoline quadricopter full colectiv pitch. Really happy with the price, torque, ...Have to write another positive review, i have made more than 300 fligts with this servos on my HK550TT DFC and these servos are not showing any signs of wearing yet. very good servo for the money i have to say... I am sorry to see many RotorStar products are not available anymore in EU and even in central warehouse :( :( seems helicopters and parts are not selling well or what... I fly only helis and i hope at least some good stuff will be in EU for some time to come... ByeI have over 60 of these on all my 70~78" 3D Extreme Flight planes. Only ever lost 1 on a rudder due to many harrier landings. Now my buddies use it on 3D planes as well.I bought three of these for a 600. I'm currently using them on a Frenzy 600E and they've done well so far, about 20 flights, and they've survived one light crash unscathed. The cases have a metal centre part, which is good for heat dissipation. The mounting lugs seem robust. The gears are slop-free, and the supplied servo arms are sturdy and a good tight fit on the splines. I'm using them with a FuBar controller, which is running them at 160Hz or so, directly off a 2s LiFe RX pack. I would definitely buy more of these.i have bought these servos before and i liked them, so i have bought another cyclic set of 3 servos for my HK550tt modded to DFC... Very fast, and i use them on 8,4V directly from 2S LiPo in combination with mini Kbar FBL 3axis gyro... Works very well.... Time Will show how long servos Will last if i don't break crash before :):)I use these on my HK550GT modded to DFC on HV - direct 2S LiPo battery in combination with Mini Kbar....Fast and strong servos, heli is very responsive, centering is good. Hope servos will last...Got 3 for the Swashplate of a HK-600 GT, stretched to 700 size for an old Mikado Jet Ranger fuselage. They have no gear back lash, the gears have a very tight fitting. Don`t move them by hand on the servo arms, they need 1 or 2 hours on a servo tester for break-in. They run at 4.8 volt, but under load they do some silly things like small jerks. At 6.0 volt they run very smooth, even under load, no more jerks. They can become pretty warm at the first hour of running, so have an eye on them. Mine are now at the end of the 2nd hour of break-in procedure and are moving better now. I`ll open them after the test and remove the old grease, i`m sure there is some wear from the metal gears and it is better to remove it. Will write more the next weeks. For now it looks this servos are worth every cent.Dieses Servo habe ich fr einen Flchenflieger gekauft, also nicht fr Heli-Ansprche. Am Servotester laufen bei mir alle gekauften (10Stk.) gleich gut und zuverlssig. Im Flug bzw. lnger konnte ich diese Servos noch nicht testen.I bought this servo to use in my 30cc yak 54 on the rudder and it works flawlessly and its extremely fast. I use a 2 cell battery for the receiver and this servo has some crazy torque. I bought the HV 550mgc's for my elevator and ailerons and they also are fast and have more than enough torque for my 26cc funtana and 30cc yak. buy with confidence, these are great servos.servo's have good centreing and are pretty decent in terms or speed, but the bad news is that the Mikado mini Vbar does not like them for some reason. could be down to pulse width or voltage.
If you are planning on using these on the Trex 550/600 or similar brand with an align 3gx unit then you should not have any problems.
Oh and the replacement plastic gear in the servo is Futaba part # P-SNG00901
Apart from that, I think these servo's are fantastic for the price.
