Working good on the bench test, but unfortunately, it has a minor constructive issue regarding the steering pin. You may have it only on the side like in the picture. As you put the steering pin to the other side of the retract, the fixing srew from that pin-arm makes the retract not fully going in. I had not seen that before and so I had to dissassemble the unit to fix that and makle it running again.
Besides this it works fine on the bench and I come back with further information after the practical field test.
Transfer time is about 4 seconds on this unit.lo comprato x il mio tucano 40 spero che vada bene????????????????????????? ????????????????Beware of the mounting plate! Although the picture makes it appear that the mounting plate is reversible so that it can be mounted on the top of the retract, this is not the case! The hole spacing for the mounting plate to the the retract on the bottom of the retract does not match the hole pattern on the top of the retract. Even using the two circular guide holes that mate with the nubs on the plate causes the only two holes that are the correct width to be 1.5mm too far away from the threaded holes on the top. Very strange.
The mechanism works well and the leg is very solid. The steering is very smooth, almost friction free!Converted these to non steerable and fitted to a hk 1400mm zero
They work great..but be carfull of the voltage going to them as they
Dont like hi voltages. Very happy good gear for the price.Great product! I believe this is the replacement for the 100cm Genesis, but I am using on a 70cm mono hull and it works great. Made very well and I love the break-away teflon screw (just in case I hit any unseen underwater objects at high speed!). The water pick up work fairly well. I was worried about getting enough pressure to go through all of my cooling components (pick-up from rudder goes through motor jacket, motor mount.very good retracts, very strong and it's a direct fit for many 90mm edf such as the l59 and bae hawkI installed this in my tucano 40, very nice look...but.. forget about it if your runway is bumpy or grass, mine keeps collapsing in every "not super perfect" landing. I got two of these retracts and replaced the first one thinking it was having a manufacturing defect, but the second behave the same, in other words, the lock position when its extended is not so strong so it collapse easy when tthe runway is bumpy, not to talk when I tried in grass.Good retract for my 90mm and 70mm, before I have to use two wire with servo horn for the steering. This kind of part should be released. But my problem was once I hit this front retract and bend the retract wire. I have problem to replace the wire because the PIN wire with a T head on it.Coud this be change to a C or E ring on the wire. The mechanical quality is really good, but the electron stopped working after around five flights.
So Im not satisfied.
