It is a nice plane. It does not glide too much, but is a lot of fun. In our field everyone looks at the Sky 500 because of its simplicity. Just hook the batt and go flying. With a bit of face wing, it climbs so well...

Bought one of these nineagles sky 500 and a hobbyking micro J3 Cub at the same time to teach the kids how to fly a 3 channel. Both are similar money and came in RTF mode 2. The sky 500 is the better of the two and is quite stable on a calm day.

Flight time is better on the sky500, so its getting the most use in training. The magnetic detachable wing is a good feature and ours is still holding together despite a bunch of crashes.

Bought one for my 6 yr nephew. It's ok not easy to break in landings because it is so light, but light equals fragile so it is easy to break or loose things handling it. Flies ok without wind. Bottom line is nice to start learning for kids.

great first time flyer very strong great little glider not fast but very easy to fly.About 10min flight time with the turnigy nano-tech and up to 15min gliding.not a fast plane or turn sharp but if you go straight down then pull up you can pull a loop off

Got one and a few spare batteries. A bit low on power but flies beautifully in those long still evenings. 4 batteries can give about 40 mins of cruising or low flying beat ups over the kids.

A wind free afternoon can have you doing laps negotiating the trees in the backyard

Also survives the full speed failed loop-the loop collision with terra firma with no damage.

For the price it's awesome.

Way too easy to fly this. Just like flying a co-axial heli. Assembly was childs play. Just full throttle and throw away, trim a little here and there and thats it. Hours of easy flying with extra pieces of those tunigys. I bought the charger too, faster and it charge 2 batteries. It is a little tricky to fit those turnigy in the glider but it fits. Just that you need the angle right and the tab on the battery to slide in too.

Sky 500 flies well but is too weak engine. Rudder and elevator is too small rash. The plane, no tricks.

Picked up two of these to teach a couple of my buddies to fly, wow I've never seen anyone who has NEVER flown anything just pick up a transmitter for the first time and keep a plane up for more than a couple minutes straight!



Only 4 stars for Quality due to both planes needing mechanical trim and 1 needing the elevator actuator/serno oiled.

yes i have purchased this little glider from hk and is really this plane is worth every dollars that i have spent eevn on the custom duty i have paid for!!! well, it flies well have a nice control and range and lemme tell to it flies good even in 5-10 kmphr windy conditions after this the plane is difficult to control, also the plane needs a good battery, but the supplied battery also works well but it will be more fine to have a pair of them if you a an enthusiastic flyer like me so better grab another one turnigy is a good one it, as i too have purchased it alongwith the plane.
tx is also good for the said price as it incoorporates a 2.4 ghz spectrum. overall the entire package is good and worth ever cent for the amount stated.
