I bought this set about year ago. This was my first fpv set. FOV was too narrow. I replaced lens with 2.1mm. Antennas are not that good and range in about 400m. I flew few times further. Few times I crashed and transmitter fell apart. I was easy to fix but now I prefear when my anntenna is not attached to transmitter.
Now I have hs1177 camera, ImmersionRC antennas and ImmersionRC 600mW transmitter.
I would rather recommend set: hs1177 (35 USD), Aomway 5.8GHz (RP-SMA) antennas (14.79 USD), TBS Unify Pro HV (59.95 USD), SkyZone RD40 (48 USD) = 157.74 USD
or: hs1177 (35 USD), Aomway 5.8GHz (RP-SMA) antennas (14.79 USD), RC832 (20 USD), TS58500 (36.96 USD) = 106.75 USD.
In my opinion is worth adding 50 USD and buy best FPV camera (hs1177), best transmitter (TBS Unify Pro HV), best value for money antennas (Aomway), and diversity receaver RD40.

This is my first FPV system. The system was very complete and worked off the bat. However as soon as I saw the picture I knew something was wrong. This camera is a 960H, which is not sold individually on HK. The 960H is only capable of 4:3 aspect ratio and it will just stretch it when you display 16:9. So this setup should only be used for a plane, not FPV Quads if you plan on zipping around and going crazy. The FOV is simply too small.

Really awesome product from HobbyKing. Got it for about $43, so far everything work perfectly except a few things to note. Transmitter becomes hot just after a couple of minutes, flew it with my FPV Quad for about 10 minutes(Per Flight) and so far there is no issue. The antenna that came with this set is not so good, to be honest, get a better antenna when you're gonna buy this kit, recommend the Aomway antennas, just got myself a pair of it. Oh and if you frequently getting static thru your monitor, probably you have plug in the audio cable which interfere with the Video cable, just unplug it and it should solve the static issue

Today I made personal record with this set.
Flew 1772 meters away and safely got back. Everything in stock! I didn't make any mods to the set! Video link had some interference but nothing critical. Most of the time the picture was crystal clear.
Best value for its money!

Took advice of a review on this product and added the 2.1mm Board lens with the kit. Works great. A great first time setup for FPV.

Does anyone know if the camera in this package has the programmable OSD? The pc board in this camera is a bit different from the other Sony cameras with the OSD. I am afraid to start grounding the pc pads in my camera until I am sure it won't fry it.

This set is AWESOME. Tested it in the air and got 360 meters away without any interference and without any tuning, selecting channels etc: just plugged it in, selected first channel and began to fly.
Easy to use, reliable, relatively cheap. I vote for it to be the best choice for the FPV newcomer. Two things you shoul keep in mind: the transmitter gets hot when in use so do not place it inside the fuselage, and if you want sound the set offers you this ability but you have to use the microphone with external power and a little soldering. I tried standart tiny mic but it didn't go.
