I use this in a robotic application, and as a motor, it's holding up fine. My biggest issue is with the wire leads provided from the motor. All three have broken inside the insulation. I finally snipped all three to very near the motor, and soldered on my own high strand-count wire.

But, as far as motor performance goes, I'm pretty happy. It's torquey, it spins fairly smooth, and it handles what I want it to.

The specs are very overstated, the motor barely handles half of rated power with acceptable overheating. It needs internal resistance twice as lower for reliable 20 A operation.
2 stars for perfect machining.

Installed in 950 cm boat, twin prop with 35mm 3 blade props as upgrade to 2217 1050KV motor. Both motors cooked windings after only 3 minutes of running at 12 volts. Blew out receiver and both ESC's so very expensive. Avoid avoid avoid!

Small motor with lots of power. Tested using 8x4 props and it doesn't get hot! Its a little rough on the turning, but thats because of the strong magnet!! :)

Hi folks. I think this motor is a very good one.. becouse me and many of my friends are using it on there planes and havent have any problems with them. my self using to of these engines on a great planes catalina pby with to of 25 amp mysteri esc and to 3 blade master airscrew 8x6. i have 18.5 amps and 205 watts on full trottle on each engine and with full trottle in about then seconds i have about 48c in temerature. so overall think this is a reliable engine but i dont think this engine is good for 260 watts as bescribed... therfore four stars.

Got this for my Sky Arrow R/C Airplane Kit as an option to a 1000Kv motor. On this plane there is limited propeller space and higher Kv is needed. Good motors with Hong Kong bearings.
