Not top quality but completely satisfied with its performance. I use it in my 450 with 11T pinion at flat throttle at 86pcnt and a maximum pitch of -11/ 11. Running on a Turnigy Nanotech 2200 35-70C. Takes off like a rocket and does not bog down!

I got the motor yesterday and the quality of it seems to be really good and it also seems to be balanced properly!!..havent tried it yet, but i will, in a 50cm long boat i am making. Thanks hobbyking and keep up the good price!

Idealer Motor fr Budget 450er, zieht gut, moderater 3D Flug, keine Geusche etc., 3850 drfte ungefhr stimmen, 12er Ritzel im HK 450 V2, absolut unschlagbares Preis leistungsverhltniss. Bis dato ca. 20 Akkuladungen ohne Probleme.

Nicely built and tidy. The motor does not come with any pinion or bullet connectors, you have to get and solder the connectors separately. But I still gave 5 stars because it is so cheap. It has lots of power with 12T but it bogs with 13T. The cooling fins are in the wrong direction but after a flight of 10 min the motor is only warm so that is not a problem. I like the sound as you spool up, it makes a loud high pitch noise at some low rpm caused by harmonics in the motor's casing. That makes it sounds a bit like the bigger Trex motors. When you are testing indoors, you might find that noise loud and annoying. Although it's not a perfect motor, I'm very happy with it. My budget is low but this motor is giving me all I need. I'm installed this motor in an HK-450 with a Turnigy AE-45A ESC and Turnigy 2200mah 3S 20C battery. Very powerful with 12T and I get about 10 min flights. I will try it with 13T to see how it goes. The cooling fins are in the wrong direction but motor is not too hot after flying. At low rpm it is noisy as the casing vibrates with harmonics, making a high pitch noise. When you are testing inside the house it will hurt your ears but it is a quite nice sound. It makes the motor sounds like the bigger Trex motors.

I have flown and tested this motor for about 40 min flights. I'm getting about 10 min flights. I'm using a 12T, max pitch 10', throttle at 85pcnt and ESC on 12khz. Next time I'm going to try ot at 24khz.
I like the sound it makes, it sounds like a turbo jet or like the bigger Trex motors.
The cooling fins are in the wrong direction but the motor is only warm.

this is the worst motor. it gave up after 10 flights. it puffs up my 3s 2.2amp 20c battery. esc and motor get hot and only gets about 3 or 4 minutes of flight but distroys the battery. dont get this motor. instead get the Turnigy Typhoon 2215H or 3500kv 370w 2837B Brushless which at the moment comes for free but surprisingly is the best motor.
