1 Screen blank .. no good

I was excited about this charger, but when it arrived one of the screens was blank, that basically means I only have 3 chargers instead of 4, and since I'm using these chargers for film production and not a hobby I needed it right away, I contacted HobbyKing they responded quickly but they asked me to ship the whole unit back to China, and then I have to wait for them to evaluate it and have a new unit arrive... Too much hassle, forget it I'll just use it with three chargers for now. Definitely will not buy this again I will buy the individual chargers next time which I've never had issues with.

Caught fire

While I was charging 2 battery and discharging two others it started to smoke and melted the fan and charge leads. I have had this charger for 3 months and used it 10-12 times before this happened. I have been flying rc planes for 15 years and this is a first, Defiantly would not recommend this charger.

Overall, the charger looks great. However, on its 3rd use using the storage function on a battery, a capacitor erupted and caught fire. Luckily, I was still looking at the charger when it happened. To make matters worse, Hobbyking has been taking its time on the replacement.

Sadly not as good as it looks

I had high hopes. The online video from HobbyKing made this look like a great unit. The first on I got had issues - warranty return. The second one I got died - warranty return. The third one I got was almost identical to the first. I used three of the four channels to get by. Note that the fans in the Reaktor series are not up to full load discharging. Note also that the charge discharge is asymmetric - meaning you can charge at fairly high amperage but not discharge at the same. This model increases the discharge limit IF you discharge to a car battery as your primary power source. Note also that this unit - unlike the others in the series has no PC USB interface (no way to characterize with SW). So I am not impressed. Further - it comes with a bunch of stickers warning you that the input power must be connected first and disconnected last. Not a terrible thing BUT it tells you how the design cost is reduced. For the cost of a few more parts that issue could be alleviated completely. That all said HobbyKing was there to service the unit when needed without fail.

Massive charge capabilities. Allows me to charge my 6s batteries as fast as I use them allowing me to not have to buy more batteries. Charges four batteries at full power with no issues.
