Fantastic ESC with power to spare.

Well made, low profile and a quite but powerful fan. I upgraded my Stampede VXL 4wd from 3s to 4s using this ESC and a Trackstar 1/8 BL motor. The performance is amazing. This ESC is so happy in its new home that I could swear it's smiling!!!
Runs very cool, always packs a punch , even after flooring the stampede throttle for a long straight it will have immediate power to come out of a turn. Its a great value and i am happy i got one!
For programming I use the "Turnigy Trackstar Turbo And Waterproof ESC Programming Box SKU:
9192000049". It opens all available parameters and sets them as well.
So if you have one of these ESCs then go get a Turbo/Waterproof program card at HobbyKing, the KING of hobbies!

Running a Trackstar 1/8 2025kv motor with this ESC and a HobbyKing Turnigy Graphene Panther 4000mAh 3S 75C Battery Pack in a Losi Truggy. Its pure joy to drive at the North Carolina Sand Dunes @ Kill Devil Hills! Zero issues, no heat and the speed and power are there consistently.
I used my "Turnigy Trackstar Turbo And Waterproof ESC Programming Box SKU:
9192000049" with LCD for 80a/120a Turbo ESCs to program this ESC. It looks EXACTLY like the old "Turnigy DLUX" and "OK Hobby" LCD Programming boxes. Worked with all programable features, listed each variable correctly and set the variables after reboot of ESC. Go get chu some of that!

There is no program card,
The reverse is delayed by a lot more than I would like there's no way to change it either.
I think it's only capable really to 4s.
It is very reliable I've had this thing for many years I bought extras so I could have spares and I never needed them.

Decent ESC

It works fine as it should, but I would only recommend using it on 3S battery, even though it works on 4S aswell. But under load of 30 amps, on 4S battery, ESC heats up a lot and I could smell like it started burning, so theres no way it can handle 120A continuosly, at least not on 4S.
3S battery and 60A load works just fine, gets little warm but thats acceptable
I forgot to add that on 4S load, one of the capacitors got slightly inflated, so I highly recommend sticking to only 3S battery to keep this ESC alive.
For the features it have, you need program box (which doesnt exist anymore) to change it, but some of them are programmable via the button on ESC (read manual for instructions)

Read the instructions it is programable

If you take time to read the instructions you will learn how to program it. nice ESC, those that fried it used to large of a pinion. Test it out if motor and wires are hot drop the pinion down

Poor response to a genuine issue by hobbyking. Theres no programming card available for this esc, they dont know if anymore will be made, and no other card works with this esc. Dont waste your money
