I placed 3x of these on a custom 6x6 monster truck running through 3x Hobbyking 150amp ESC's. I miscalculated the kv requirement and should have gone for a lower kv rated motor, never-the-less, after a small bit of chatter/shudder the 10kg truck got rolling and then really winds up, even lifting the front wheels slightly to a top speed of 72 km/h on 6s. I did run them on 8s for a short time with no problems.

Very strong motors and are now sitting in my drawer waiting until I build a plane large enough to require this kind of power.



Definately recommend these motors.

I don't know if it is possible but I'm reading 1700Watt's at HALF throttle on 6S 14x8 turnigy light wood prop!!! Using turnigy watt meter.

Motor muito potente. Substitu um OS46AX por ele e simplesmente no h comparaes. Penso que o TR50-55B 600kv Brushless Outrunner se equivale a faixa de motores 60/90 dois tempos, porque simplesmente no h nenhum 46 com a mesma potncia.
A impresso que na mxima potncia vai arrancar a parede de fogo.
E em termos de peso, motor esc bateria 6S 3000mAh se equivalem a OS46 tanque cheio de 200ml.

I use this motor to replace a OS 55 AX in my 46 size Ugly Stick. 90-100A HK ESC and battery used is 6S 3000Mah out of my T-Rex 500 heli, using a 11x7 APC prop. Power is the same as the OS and a 10 min flight consumes on average - 1900 to 2300 Mah. I'm really pleased with it and so far, after around 200 flights have had absolutely no problems. If only they will come back in stock I'll replace all my glo engines!

I would have loved to buy this motor for my project to convert a .46 PROBOAT VORTEX (discontinued) from nitro to electric. I had to buy the hull only on e-bay, and most of the parts from phil's hobby shop. the tr50-55b had promised to be the motor to replace the highly recomended org. nitro engine, but after buying the hull christmas eve (2010), and still wating into deep July (2011), that HK get's the motor back into stock, i decided to look eleswhere and i found a good number of similar motors of other brands.
First, i investigated the org. Nitro 7,8ccm (.46) engine, some info said it would have arround 12.000 rpm, other info said somewhat like 16.000 rpm....
Now, You should know, that the efficiancy of a combustion engine looses hardley as filling of combustion chamber gets less as higher they spin. In other words, under load, they will never come to their high end.
Due to the qtdy of different props, i alredy bought for this projet, i did not want to do execessive reaming, what made me opt finally for a 4260 kv600 AEOLIAN Motor, 1460W max., because it has a 5mm shaft and prop (outlet) shaft(s) are only 8mm.
Other options would have been the AEOLIAN 5045 kv720 or 5055 kv700, which i probably will buy, if more power or speed is needed for the .46 VORTEX. Both motors sholud make top speed/revs of org. nitro engine, but with much more torque.
