Not for under water use

Bought a number of these for under water applications, and they stopped working about a few weeks - too much rust and they seized up. Avoid using these underwater!

I look at those brushless motors as if they were pieces of art. The fact is that 40 years ago we could just imagine we would have one day this kind of performance of such small elertric motors. This aerodrive motor is all what I have been hoping for such little cuty.

I bought 10/4.5 props and it will work but pulls close to 18-20 Amps for sure. I have 2 for my boys planes and 3 for my tricopter. Move to 9/4.7 and was getting 16 Amps. I changed to 8/4.5 props and get great performance and much longer flight times. They now run around 12 AMPs.

The DST700 motors were awesome with a 4S 2200mah 40C battery but weak with a 3S 3000mah but in saying that great if you are a beginner. These DST1000 are awesome with plenty of power and doesn't suck all the life out off your battery. 3S 3000mah 40C battery it flew almost 20min with no cam on a Rotorbits tri copter with home made allow channel booms with motors directly mounted to the booms with cable ties and thin double side tape. You can drop it out of the sky and hit the brakes before she hits the ground which you can't do with a DST 700 on a 3S battery. Picture at rotor bits files tricopter.

Great value for money motors. Although when you plan to build a multi rotor based on it, it's advisable to get 1-2 motors extra as spares as you never know you get in need of 1.

Just received this motor few days back. Mounted it on my GWS SLOW STICK as well as my scratch built glider.
Excellent motor, I would say a perfect replacement for those superb motors of Tower Pro 2410-12T 1000Kv.

This Motor Spins a 10x4.7 Prop with 20A Esc.

About the Flight time ... I got 40 Mins on my scratch built glider wing.
