I bought two because they are not expensive. The first one I used lasted a week. The second wouldn't even record the florescent lights. Even using three new batteries they didn't work.

Dieser Drehzahlmesser ist in der Praxis unbenutzbar, da er bei Nichtgebrauch nicht vollständig abschaltet.
Daher ist die Batterie ständig leer.
This digital tachometer is not o.k. in any case, because there always is a little bit of energy consumption and therefore the battery always is empty.

Does what it says on the tin. Easy to use,nice small package so doesn't take up much room in my flight box. I use it in conjunction with a power meter for choosing propellers on my electric planes.

Useful For All RC Aircraft Enthusiasts

This reasonably priced tacho is excellent for measuring actual propellor RPM on model airplanes or rotor head RPM on helicopters. The only limitations are that it must be used in daylight (to avoid strobe effects of artificial lighting) and for helicopters you will need some ingenuity to mount it under the blades. Otherwise cannot be faulted.
