Habu Gear

I purchased the electric gear for a Habu. The gear is really nice, but it is not for a HABU. It is way to small. the struts are foo short and the wheels are too small. What I received are about 1/2 the size needed for a HABU... What should I do ???

Not quite the right size.

The workmanship seems good, but the mounting flanges are by no means the right size or hole pattern for the Habu, In fact the only thing in the set that is the right size is the plate included, which seems to have no purpose. I'll make them fit but it will take some work.

Needs a lot of modification to work in habu 32

As shipped, does not fit in the habu 32x. I needed to do the following to make it fit:
1) The wing retracts need about 2mm of metal sanded off the center area of the mount
2) There is part of a wing rib underneath the place on the wing for the retract. This section of rib needs to be removed as the wing retract is too deep for the habu 32x.
3) About 2 cm of the plastic wheel well also needs to be removed from the wing as the motor in the retract is too deep for this portion of the wheel well.
4) The oleo is not long enough to fit in the habu's pre-installed wheel well. In order to make it fit, you need to buy a length of 3mm piano wire. You will need to cut a 4 cm section of this piano wire and use it connect the trunion to the Oleo to gain appropriate length.
Once all of this is done, the retracts now fit. Unfortunately, with the necessary length of music wire, they don't look good and are now only as strong as that thin music wire. Because of this, I gave up on the Oleos and hoped to just use the metal retract with the stock structs. Unfortunately, the stock struts are 4mm. I drilled out the trunions to 4mm, and the stock gear now sort of fits in one, but I ruined the other retract and am now waiting on new ones. The nose gear retract also doesn't quite fit, but it seems like it will work with a little modification.

Steuerung der Motoren macht Propleme

Die Mechanik ist gut. Leider gibt es Probleme mit der Motoransteuerung.Habe schon das zweite Fahrwerk. Sobald etwas Last auf die Mechanik kommt beim ein oder Ausfahren versagt sie.

Bought these for my Habu 32 to replace eflites that bent with even the gentlest landing on grass. The mounting holes are identical to the fitted eflites but you will need to make up extensions to the oleos, otherwise not too much modification needed - just a bit of dremelling here and there.

Foam wheels and CHEAP plastic wheels. I performed about 45 seconds of low speed taxiing and the spokes on a main rim broke, and the front tire fell off and the front rim broke in half on decent asphalt. After upgrading wheels I had the struts repeatedly loosen I had to remove them and grind flat spots on the retracts, and drill and tap the M3 grub screws for M4. Only good on 70MM foam and smaller type A/C under 3.5 lbs I would say.
