These are excellent servos and I conzaider these to be among the best 8/9 gm servos out there. The spline pattern on the output shaft is also compatible with the Hitech HS55 making them compatible with HS55 accessories.

I installed 4 of these in my 14 oz, parkflyer, and now have well over a dozen flights on them. I reviewed these before I put them in the air, and my opinion has not changed. I think they are a great servo for the money. I saw an article on servo current draw, and these were listed as drawing 700 mAh (at startup). Just to be safe, I used a Red Brick esc with a 3 Amp bec. One of my servo's did not center as well as the rest when new, but it came around and has no problems now. If you accept these for what they are (small, light, not real fast, not real strong and very inexpensive) I think you will be happy with them. I like them enough that I have 4 more to put in my next airplane. I am only giving 4 stars for quality due to the slow movement at the limit of travel. Others have also noticed this. Jon

These servo's are very similar in function to the HS-55's. Same speed,weight and torque. The dimensions are a little different (as others have noted). The arms that come with the servos are fairly short. Thanksfully, the HS-55 arms fit. The pigtals are about 9" long and are stiff. I can deal with that. I have only run these on my tester. The results were excellent. I am impressed, and will be putting 4 of these in my next plane.

OK servo and cheap but not a great bargain. It has less torgue than HXT900 (1.0 against 1.6 kg) and it is slower (0.17 against HXT900 with only 0.12 sec). And it cost a buck more. So what's the big deal here and as for centering as some reviewer said, I see no difference with HXT900 and the noise is same. And the Vigor servo uses PVC insulation on the wire while HXT900 has silicone. And the Vigor is a bit wider and thus will not fit in a "standard" servo tray without a bit of filing. So my advice is, stay with Hextronic or why not even HobbyKing 928BB where you get a bit more torque than HXT900 and even a bearing on the output shaft AND save one and a half buck!

I love this servo. I bought 8 servos now, and have ordered 10-20 servos before. Never any problems with them, Works 99 and have ok center-point.



I would not put them in a expensive plane or heli thought, but theese are the best for parkflyers/foam.

i bought 2 of these and i'm not crazy over them but i like them. good torque, great centering but the reason i dont like them is the speed i think there slower than they say because i have other servos that are rated at .30sec and there just a little faster if not the same speed as these but other wise great servos.

After reviewing quite a few of the servo offerings from Hobby City, I ordered eight of these as a trial.



Before actually flying any of them, I hooked one up to my auto-cycling servo tester, and let it cycle, full travel, at a slow speed, overnight.



Next morning, it was still running......back, and forth.......still had great torque.....no overheating.



I'm now flying them in my electric, flat-foamies, and they work extremely well.

I use these in many park planes. They are very well made and look solid. Quick analog servo that centers well, not even with the low price. I recommend these for any small craft. The only strange thing about them is that they are slow in one direction as they reach max travel (as others have mentioned). I find this to have little to no effect when in the air and still give a 5 star rating. GREAT VALUE!!! would compare to any at 4x the price.

Great little servo for the price. Good centering, just a little play in the center... not much.
