This is a water cooling outlet for rc boats instead of using the silicone tube straight out the side through an alloy grommet. The small plastic ring slides over the nipple to create a barb, assuming it is then glued in place. I think this will be far too restrictive for proper cooling as blowing through it is restrictive. Stick with the alternative
