I bought 2 of these July 2013. one arrived with 2 cells 0.1v above the others.I tried charging at a very low rate but could not get the cells to balance. I then discharged the 2 cells individually with a 4v flashlight bulb and managed to get them balanced.I got 22 cycles but then a cell burst during flight in a HK500. There was no smoke or fire, the cell just got so hot that it puffed up and burst a seam. I only noticed at the end of the flight when I removed the canopy and could smell the electrolyte! The other battery is still ok, touch wood! next time I get a battery with cells out of balance by this much I will send it back

Hi, I have received battery, 2 cell was dead. For returning shipping cost I need to pay, and pay for new battery shipping so don't bother to return. Gonna try to buy 2s and try to fix it.

Wenig Leistung. Nach dem 2x benutzen, bei 1,5 Std 1700mAh nachgeladen, keine Abschaltung vom Ladegert. Garantie- Abwicklung vom Hobbyking kann ich nicht empfehlen. einen Defekten Lipo zurck gesendet, nach 2 Wochen immer noch keine Gutschrift oder hnliches.

I ordered two more of these batteries for my Trex 500 on 7th of April and they arrived on 2nd of May they appeared to be carefully packed and nicely wrapped, one battery in perfect condition, but the other badly puffed and swollen as if the pack is under extreme pressure it seems three cells are extremely defective and look very unsafe however the cells read as follows 3.86v, 3.85v, 3.85v, 3.85v, 3.83v and 3.85v I sent the customer service e-mails for a replacement. I attached several photos, but I am very disappointed as HobbyKing requires to send the defective battery to its warranty department which is actually not practical and almost impossible to do so due to my countrys postal restriction and he cost - so not happy at all

Great value packs, light with plenty of power, for my T-Rex 6s 500. Also work well in series on my 12s T-Rex 600 ESP. Highly recommended.

I have used these packs for over 6 months now and all I can say is WOW they are that good. You cannot buy a better pack for the price in any brand! I have used other brands and they never deliver this mush punch with the Trex 500. The size and weight are perfect for the Trex 500. I have over 100 cycles and they are still powerful packs. There are perhaps the best Lipo packs I have ever used in any of my electric helis.

Excellent Lipo for Protos500. Fully balanced when arrived and still after >20 flights. Much better than the Turnigy 30C Lipo it replaced.

Those batter work fine in my Trex 500 - CG also is fine even with a standard size tail servo.
