The ZOHD Dart XL FPV flying wing airplane offers incredible lifting power, excellent handling, and portability, making it the ideal choice for long-range FPV flying. This "Enhanced Version" features a newly designed motor mount, a GPS bay with cover, built-in carbon fiber for strength, a new optimized airfoil, and a strengthened battery bay. The Dart XL incorporates Vortex generators and a swept forward wing for improved handling, lift efficiency, and yaw stability. It also has a computer-designed airflow pod that maximizes the cooling to all the onboard equipment to minimize overheating electronics and reduce the risk of failure. The vertical fins are detachable, making it much easier to transport to those out-of-the-way places for the best FPV experiences.
The Dart XL has been designed specifically for FPV flying, its composite, crash-resistant nose camera bay is large enough to take the popular HD Action cameras on the market today such as GoPro, DJI, Swift, and RunCam. It is manufactured in tough EPP foam and the pushrods use a high-quality ball link system, which provides an agile, and quick response to your control input commands. Another feature is that the servo arms have built-in protection on the wings to protect the servo in the event of a hard impact.
This is the kit version of the Dart XL so it is just the basic airframe, you will require your own radio, motor, prop, ESC, servos, and battery. This allows you to choose the servos and power train that will suit the setup that you require. ZOHD recommended a 2216-1300KV motor driving 9x4.5 prop, 40A ESC, 9g metal-geared servos, and a 4S 3300mAh LiPo battery pack or similar.
