Multi-Rotor Roll/Tilt GoPro Hero 2 Camera Mount

Would be very nice if the rubber mounting grommets were also provided. They seem to be difficult to find anywhere. And a good servo recommendation would be beneficial also. HiTec HS-55's will sort of work. But the servo for the horizontal axis does not line up well.

Lots of Bang for your bucks

Looks daunting when you look at the bag of bits and no instructions but goes together easy. Build instructions are in the files section.

Great light weight gimbal. Assembly results in a solid, sturdy unit that will hold a variety of cameras. There is a youtube video that helps see what each step of the process looks like.

Gutes Produkt.

Leider keine Dmpfergummis mit dabei.
Kleiner Hammer zum zusammenbau bentigt.

Wie wird die GoPro 2 denn befestigt???

it could have been better cut so you don't need a hammer. Could have provided instructions. Could have had other options for mounting and provide the rubber grommets for around the tubes

A nice piece of kit! Pretty easy to put together. I use it on a Bumblebee quad and don't even have a GoPro but have modded it with some ply to fit a Sony CCD camera inside the GoPro hatch. Originally, I used plastic analogue servos to control it, but they started to get a bit old an jittery (pre-used). So splashed out on some Digital Metal Gear servos and WOW... It's smooth and does a good job!

I knew when I ordered this gimbal that it would be a challenge and it was. I was very impressed with the design and I'm sure it will perform quite well, but folks, it is a kit in every sense of the word. It reminded me of my childhood days when an airplane kit as a box of sticks, some tissue paper, and a picture of an airplane. The design is excellent, the material is very good, but there are two flaws. First, the slots are cut too small to accept the tabs they are supposed to receive. You must grab your jewelers file and 'dress' every joint. Second, the pivots are a bit tricky and just barely strong enough for the job. But HEY! - It only costs about eleven bucks and just requires a couple of three dollar micro servos to complete. How can you beat that? If you want perfect go get get a seventy dollar gimbal and some fancy motors for it. Personally, I enjoyed this build (about four hours) and I know it will provide results far, far beyond the eighteen bucks I put into it. It's a lightweight with a middleweight punch. If you're a hobbyist, this is you gimbal; if not you will have problems.
