If you want to build a magnetic prop balancer, the kind with contact only on one end this is it. Sharpen both ends of the shaft to a fine point then glue two rare earth magnets to two upright pieces of wood or plastic so one end of the metal shaft touches one magnet and the other end is 1 or 2 mm away from touching. Fix the uprights to a horizontal piece of wood to maintain that separation. The mag field will suspend the balancer with a prop on it and be super low friction. This one will be blue.
