Gets hot without load!
7.2v is correct, but 4.5a is a waaaay no!
1.5-2a max. Used a protek 130t servo on a hobbywing 150a sec. It got a 6v 3a build in esc. The servo works fine. Now connect the same servo to this bec, that its suppose to be 7.2v and 4.5a, but it glithes like crazy.
Please dont put 4.5a on the label when it cant even deliver 3a.

Almost a year previous version worked in my DEX408 with "epoxy waterproof".
2nd season with the same BEC =) It's great!

Bought this one to use for a 50 dollar Savx servo. Worked fine on 2s, but on 3s output voltage rised to 8.4V an efficiently burning the servo. I do not recommend this one to anyone.

Howdy, I used to get these when they looked differently, with a single capacitor, and the board was narrower. I ordered one of these since it had the same specs and installed it into my 450 Pro, and had a crash. It turned out that after a relatively short period of time, like 3:30, the unit glitched out and locked up (lost power), causing the AIL servo to pull down with subsequent total loss of control. Naturally, the heli rolled left and went in fairly hard.

I was able to reproduce this on the bench by powering up the unit and exercising the controls just like one would in flight, and at 4:24 the exact same thing that must've occurred in flight happened: the AIL servo pulled down and the unit locked up (or went dead) with no control after that. About 3 seconds later the iKon reinitialized.

I may try another, but I would recommend that everybody bench test these first!@@

Cheers,

Bill

Very good UBEC! Use this on an Quadcopter to take the 4s Lipo down to 7.2Volt for the FPV transmitter. Very light and also small.

Nice!

I have a bunch of the Turnigy 3amp(5amp max) UBEC's and I love them. They run cool and provide great power. But I bought a bunch of 7.2 volt servos and really wanted to use this. It gets really warm, almost hot just being connected to the battery. And this was without the servos plugged into the receiver yet. I wanted to like it and I still need a good 7.2v UBEC. Maybe Turnigy will come out with one or I will have to go with with a Castle Creations.

I get it last week, and I tested this UBEC and i love it.

Vout rate 7.25 - 7.26 with low ripple.

I use it for my Turnigy servo.
