Excelent alu chassis

When I build my own self constructed plane, I was looking for a good chassis for it. I just found it here at Hobby King. The chassis works fine and it is flexible, but stable and light. So if you need a good chassis for your plane, take this one.

Good struts EXCEPT - they are curved back and this reduces their loading capability. The sweep-back is significant enough to cause my biplane to either nose-over if fitted sweep BACK, or not want to rise if sweep=FORWARD. Suggest buy the other legs that are straight earlier in listing.
When I did modify my plane to use these - they easily distort and the design shape / form means hard to get back to original. Mine are now bench ornaments.

Product would be good if the picking from stock is done properly. I received 2 pieces of right side undercarriages and now they are useless. Hobbyking please review your picking process.

Like everyone else I've received two left or two right hand legs (depending on if they're swept back or forward) and the above photo actually shows two legs that are the same. All the same I'm not very impressed. I'm not sure if I can be bothered to hassle HK for months to get a replacement or if I'll try to anneal the ali and bend one side back the other way. On the other hand maybe I WILL hassle HK just to give 'em the kick up the backside that they obviously need every now and then. Otherwise most of their products are pretty good and very good value for money especially compared to the dying LHSs.

appear to be very good quality,but whats with sending two left hand legs,if I order them again will I get another 2 left or 2 right or actually a matched pair.need to lift the game on this one.

Hi, Good quality material!! Received two left hand sides as my set, as they are swept back and a good quality material to bend one to change one to a right hand side one will stress the material, and cause a weak point...Thanks for the great products HK.

Good quality aluminum grade skids! Would be good for a 500-600 size heli as well. A bit on the heavy side for light applications such as foam gliders and planes. But with a bit of modification you should be able to remove some of its weight off. Planning to use it on a AP Radian glider to allow for cleareance with camera mount.
