As the cold season is coming to an end let’s turn on the heat with some FIREY pictures!

Thank you to everyone who participated in February’s competition. This month we have been blessed with an array of extraordinary pictures ranging from old school splendors, all the way to abstract masterpieces that not only captures the essence of the RC hobby, but also the bottomless creativity that comes with it.

For all of you who didn't win this month (and everyone else), remember to join March's competition by taking a photo of your RC adventures and posting it onto our Facebook Community Page or your Instagram with the hashtags #RCfun and #HobbyKing - detailed rules can be found here.

Because we had such a hard time choosing a winner, we had to pick two.

Here are your Two Winners for February:

Neil Loran Pybus with his Durafly EFXtra Racer

Where are you from and what's the story behind the photo?

I’m from Teesside in the U.K.  This picture was taken by my father-in-law who was interested in seeing some model racing so I invited him along to one of our flying sessions.

What is your favorite RC model and why?

I think my favorite model would have to be the Durafly EFXtra, it flies like it is on rails and is so easy to control but has heaps of performance.

What is the best part of being an RC pilot and why?

The best part about flying is being able to see things from a different point of view as I fly mostly FPV.

Peter Barrett with his Boomerang 2 Boost Glider

Where are you from and what's the story behind the photo?

I’m from Hornchurch, Essex in the U.K.  I love RC models and rockets and this my Boomerang 2 Boost Glider gives me the best of both worlds. This was taken at one of the rocket club meetings, it’s always a joy to fly this model, and gets a good reaction when flown. It has now flown at several public displays and I get a lot of good comments afterward.

What is your favorite RC model and why?

My favorite RC models are wings. But I love my Tek Sumo. As it flies so well as an FPV ship and has a large speed range so great for following & chasing my friend’s models.

What is the best part of being an RC pilot and why?

As for being an RC pilot, I love the feel of flying especially in FPV. It’s a great way to escape and see the world from a different perspective.
