Of the 4 of these that I have received, not one of them can take a 3 cell lipo without burning up. To say the least, I am greatly disappointed with this motor.
I'm going to try them again, after I rewind them myself, because I've taken 2 apart to find that they were not wound very tightly. This may be why they are burning up. I've ground 1 base down to hold the stators, for rewinding. Now I'm just waiting to get a mag-light so that I can see the wind, as the stator is very small.

Very disappointing, bought 5 of these for a mini quad (one spare). running on 2s1p 1300 LiPo through 12a Plush ESC's. one motor didn't run at all, just vibrated back and fwd and then smoked without even having a prop on it. Replaced it with No5 and then while setting the quad up with 5x3 props 2 more motors smoked at half throttle. Motor looks like a quality item from the outside but the windings look like they were done by a blind man with Parkinson's. 2/5 for quality because that's how many survived. Hate to think how they would have gone on the claimed 4 cells, probably burst into flame.

Bought 4, 3 worked, not worth sending it back, about average for HK it seems. Pity, they look good and the ones that work work well.

Very well Motor. Good quality, good performance and - i guess - the best what you can get for the money. Is there any chance, that this Motor is back in stock in the near future? I desperately wait for it for new projects...

ENG:
Good brushless motor. Very smooth and silent. I use it on my modified FOX Multiplex. After a minute of half trottle in static runing the engine becomes a bit warm but this does not happen when flying.

My setup:
Batt: Turnigy nano-teach 2S 460mAh
ESC: Hobbyking SS Series 8-10A
Propellers:
GWS 5043 = good speed
GWS 6030 = good trust

CAUTION: Check the rear shaft stopper before running. Maybe you have to GLUE it before use the motor.

ITA:
Ottimo motore. Molto regolare e silenzioso. Lo uso per motorizzare un FOX della Multiplex. Dopo un minuto a met potenza il motore si surriscalda un po' ma ci non accade se si vola.

Mio settaggio:
Batt: Turnigy nano-teach 2S 460mAh

Eliche:
GWS 5043 = Ottima velocit
GWS 6030 =Ottima spinta

ATTENZIONE: Controllate il blocco dell'albero motore (in posizione posteriore). Potreste avere la necessit di INCOLLARLO prima di montare tutto (il mio si sfilato in volo!!!)

The engine is really incredibly small size and good quality.

Use with GWS 5043 prop, 2s battery and get a thrust of about 117-120 grams.

Motor is nice looking, a little noisy, I think bearings were tight at first. Awesome power using a 4x3 prop. Made my 24" w.s. slowflyer fast and almost able to hover at full thrust. As someone else stated, epoxy the wires so they can't flex. This is my reason for the 2 stars, as the wires broke in flight from vibration(?). I'm not good at (micro) soldering so its a loss for me (plane didn't crash).For the price, I will buy another knowing this and make the needed mods. Just to bad one has to find this out the hard way.

.I had 2 fail just after I installed them with the thin wires breaking inside the motor causing it to short and over heat. They are way to fragile you only have to handle them the wrong way and its all over. I didn,t even get to fly my plane and would never bother wasting my money with anymore of these small motors.
