Arrived yesterday. Seems well made with actual glue on the joints (unlike some ARTFs) and what appars to be a reasonably sturdy landing gear platform. Time will tell on that one as the strip I fly from is bumpy.

The model itself is covered ok, but you'll need to run the covering iron over it in a few places to get the wrinkles out. Comes with a nice, stiff carbon landing gear and a carbon wing tube that is an excellent fit. The manual is on a mini-CD and is about as much use as any other Chinglish manual. It instructs you to use a joiner rod (supplied) for the elevators and a single servo but then supply the fittings for twin servos. Since the hole is present in the iarframe for them I've used twin servos as it's always my preference for safety/redundancy. Stickers are an absolute b*****d, and pretty poor quality, but the overall effect is good once they're applied. Four stars only because of this. If you're wondering what the two star shaped bits of wood in the pictures are, they are mounting templates for a DLE30 and an MLD28 motor. This model is VERY lightly build aft of the wings, which will make it good for 3D but I'll be adding some reinforcement and weight to it as I prefer scale.

Arrived in good shaped doubble box. The covering is nice but needs some ironing. The hardware is a bit heavy in my opinnion but strong enough for any use. The manual comes on a small format CD, pretty simple but no need at all. Assembling is easy, no questions. Wooden parts are extremely nice, no need to modify at all. -1 crown due to unreal AUW.

Final report - Love this plane, flys slow and precise. CG is about 138mm back which when inverted still flys level. Landing this plane is a dream; but must run a 20 x 8 prop.

Back again to let those who want to know how it flew. I had CG point at 145mm and it seemed to fly OK untill i went inverted. When inverted it just wanted to climb, meaning that my tail is still heavy. Will come forward another 5mm. Plane flys very forgiving and light feeling; combined with plenty of power it does what its asked.

Have built the plane and have had its maiden; still in one piece. I went electric using 299kv Hyperion on 8s 4000mha. I used two servo's for the elevator and located rudder servo up in the fuselage. I had CG 5mm further back to the recommended and it flew "VerY" tail heavy. Have put my CG point now 10mm forward from recommended now (140mm back from leading wing edge) and yet to try. As they say better nose heavy better than tail heavy; I'm lucky that get to have a second go. I think that because the plane just floated so easy and responded so well i had success to land it in one piece. Really looking forward to flying it when i have CG right.

All in the box looks good BUT this is my first large gasser plane and there are no instructions. Would HK be kind enough to put an instruction file in the files tab. Then after i get to build the plane & test it would i give a better review. Also I have been buying from HK for over two years and they are seriously slipping on delivery; especially when you pay for express postage. Sydney to Cairns - 13 days. HK have got great products and people will always buy; put a bit of extra effort in delivery.
