these are the best value motor for swappable series planes, mine has survived head on collision with the ground and concrete with no bent shaft yet

This seems to be a great motor for a brushless upgrade of the Multiplex TwinStar. I made motor mounts using a 3D printer.

Motor: FC28-12 brushless 1534 kV
Propeller: HobbyKing Fluorescent 7060 Slow Fly Propeller (7x6)
Static thrust: 660g
Current: 12.1 A
Battery: 3S 2200 mAh
ESC: Turnigy Plush 18A

New favorite motor!! 3s with 7x5 prop. Beware that the two black set screws that hold the motor mount to the motor will come loose in flight! Be sure to check them before take off, I ended up putting a small dab of ca on them to help them stay put from the micro vibrations (I assume)

Great little motors, they drive 8 x 4.5 props nicely on my quad which was a Q450 Frame! ( there should be a video I uploaded showing a short flight using these motors somewhere in the listing)

I ordered this by mistake I guess. I thought it was the motor on the Skipper, but it isn't. This one is a 28/12, and the Skipper is a 28/22. They sure do look alike on the web pages. I've ordered five motors now to see which one would replace the one on Skippy. My latest order is for this one: (Hobbyking 2825-1950kv Funfighter Replacement Brushless Outrunner motor). Hope it works. This 28/12 is a little gem, just not for my purposes. I mounted it on the Skipper - it takes the same firewall mount - and tried the stock prop and a cut down 7/5. I cut it to 6.5/5. With three cells it didn't have the power necessary. With four cells the motor got hot in just a few seconds. Hope the funfighter motor does the job. Anyone know what the replacement is for the Skipper? Is it sold here?

Okay I'll admit it - I'm addicted to these ' FC ' motors ( FC 28-12 and FC 28-22 ). Although I haven't purchased the FC 28-22 but have only used this FC 28-12, I'm impressed by the quality and the power it packs for its size and price. I've used the FC 28-12 motor in foam aircraft up to 910mm wingspan with ample thrust. Furthermore the FC 28-12 can be converted to become a stick-mount motor with the stick motor mount (

PRODUCT ID: 9045000021-0 ) especially made for it, available from the International Warehouse ( Hong Kong ) of which I now also have a couple of. I received this FC 28-12 motor from the USA West Warehouse ( Seattle, WA area ). As has been the norm lately - ultra fast service from USA West - thanks guys ( and gals ? ) up there in the great Pacific NorthWest - GO HAWKS !
