I have TARANIS PLUS FRSKY And X8R with Smart Port.
TX is set up in the ID 820-4 but the result is the LED Flash 0m,,,,, Fast.
No data delivery, I think that is not the position
any advice . NOT WORK IN FOREIGNThe product name is misleading: this is not a GPS that you can connect to Flight Controllers. This GPS ONLY works with FrSky receiver (e.g. X8R) which then sends the GPS data back to your Taranis transmitter. So the GPS data only gets displayed on Taranis LCD screen. I contacted FrSky there is no datasheet or no way to connect this GPS to flight controller. The product description should state clearly that this GPS cannot be used with flight controllers.Working perfect when found satelites...
Sometimes it takes a long time to be ready. Working perfect on all Receivers with SMART Port!Fantastic item, I use it all the time in all places and electronics. Nice n shiny finish, good covering finish.Love the FrSky system. This sensor is no exception.
Would prefer it if it was faster and more accurate, but for the price, not bad.Arrived faster than expected (13 days).
Used this and paired with FrSky X8R and gave the GPS info straight to my Taranis.
Quality product and a must have for Taranis user.Very imprecise GPS, my plane is capable of Mach 2 and climb to 35.000 meters.... I wait 15 minutes to try to connect at maxium number of sats but this not work well...nice and simple install, connected before the FC evenGreat little unit to record some data on Taranis and great if you lost your modelBeing able to log the GPS tracks of your plane and then see where and how you have flown in a three dimensional way in Google Earth is really quite neat but more a novelty value. But this sensor also logs altitude and speed for review on your computer after you flight.
Our flying field is surrounded by thick bush and finding downed planes in the bush can be quite a challenge. This is where this sensor will come into it's own as should you be unfortunate enough to down your plane out of sight, if after the crash the sensor is still live you can see the GPS coordinates of where your plane is on your screen. If the battery became disconnected in the crash and no live location is available then at least you can retrieve the last known location immediately before the crash from the log files in the Taranis transmitter. A sensor well worth having.
