Brilliant boat, very fast, super value.
If you want a fast electric don't hesitate- buy it. You will be delighted.
I can even use my 3cell 2200 mah batteries!
One day I will summon up the courage to try a 4 cell. I imagine it will be ballistic.
Nice quality very easy to transport. A total delight

Very fast boat. Full throttle uses up the Corby lake (about 80m) in a few seconds. Great value. Excellent quality. An ideal introduction to high speed electric boats.
An added bonus is that my 2200mah batteries fit without any mods!

Da würde man am liebsten selbst wieder zum Kind werden *gg* sehr zu empfehlen!

Just got my FT012 from Hobbyking , done some sealing by pulling part the hull and put silicon sealant around the edge between the upper and lower half of the hull. Also disassembled the shaft and that it is very "clean" inside without any lubricant. So added grease and put them back.

The test run went quite well, around 20 mins of mixed throttle. Only a few drops of weter got in, warm motor temperature, happy with the result.

The only down side is the Rudder is pretty sloppy and has a lot of play in it.

This is a superb boat. Easily does 45kmh and really tight turns. Have had hours of fun with this little beast and it gets positive comments wherever I run it. Hardly any water gets inside and the flip over works really well. I no longer use extra tape to seal it as it is so sealed already. So good I ordered the larger and even faster FT011 aswell. If it is half as much fun as this one I will be happy (I suspect it will be twice the fun). This boat represents RC heaven at a sensible price. Rock on

After unboxing from the excellent packaging I was pleased to see this boat has good equipment inside. There is a solid steel sleeve with bearings for the output shaft, and no cable. The brushless outrunner connects to the output shaft with a small dogbone, but it is almost directly in line. The esc has reverse, which is very handy, although the ESC and RX are in one unit, so both have to be replaced in the event of a failure. The water cooling hoses are nice soft silicone and fit well on the fittings and input and output. There's a good looking 1800mah 3s battery with deans plug included, and balanced perfectly at first charge. I am quite impressed with the quality of the components with one exception. The steering rudder and rudder hinge is all plastic and very cheap looking. I expect it to work well, but it will not survive a snag on a tree branch or another hit under the water. There's no doubt this is still a very good value.
