This is one fun little plane. It is a strange looking little thing but flies well both fast and slow. Harriers without much wing rock especially in a little wind. There is some coupling but that is just part of the challenge. I have only used it with 3s 500s, 24g 1500 motor with an 8*6 SF prop and the power and flight time was fine.

Hi,
this is the first review I'm writing. I'm very happy with the HK products and support but this time.
The plane is not a high quality one or at least the one that I received. The wing wasn't assembled very well and It was twisted on one direction and on top of that It was broken during the packaging process. I asked HK for new wing as It was their fault but I get only $5 in the account. I'm very unhappy with that and I told them but no response. The covering film is not stretched and glued very well. After I foot the bill I ended up with more hours on repairing the plane than If I had ordered the kit and assembled it myself. The only cool thing about the ARF version is the pushing rods that are coming with it.

very impresed with the quality of the kit, fit of parts and finish. However, I was very dissapointed with the packaging and the fact that I payed to have a crumpled, torn, water damaged package delivered to me dissapoints me. The lack of instructions in this kit let it down, I have had no trouble with assembly, but the less experience builder may have trouble. I will post again when the weather allows a test flight with details of performance.

This is a great little plane. One of my favourites to fly. If you buy one you might find the colour blends with the sky (when blue) and it's easy to get disoriented. If HK had a choice of clours I would buy another one

This plane is great. I have added wire landing gear (HK light wire landing gear strut d1.8mm x 145mm), main wheels (HK super light wheels D40x12) and steerable tail wheel (spare leftover tailwheel assy from my previous size 10 arf). Construction is pretty straightforward and is finished within 2days. If not for modification for the landing gear and using larger HXT900 servos, it can be completed within a day.



My setup: C20 2050KV brushless motor, Hobbywing Pentium 10a esc, HXT900 servos x 3, Nanotech 2s 850 mah



Total dry weight w/o battery is around 219g. AUW with a 47g Nanotech 2S lipo is around 266g. Quite pleased to be able to get this weight after adding the landing gear and using HXT900 9g servos instead of 5g servos. I have posted the 3rd flight after maiden here. Plane tracks pretty straight after trimming (10clicks left aileron, elevator and rudder no trims needed)and you can see when taking, it jumps out straight and level and dun have the tedency to sudden veer to anyside. However with the battery velco-ed vertically just touching the wing leading edge as shown in video, the CG is juz nice for sports flying, have to find a new after location to mount battery for CG for 3D flight

Nice little plane. Just be careful what motor you use and use lots of glue on the connection tabs for servo rods (cant remember what they're called) as they'll pull out on yr first crash. Same with the fibreglass tabs for aelerons, tail and rudder connections.. they are damn hard to install, but worth the effort... gotta be fast slidig them in with super glue on! Wish Hobbyking sold them separately.

I had this plane but found it too small and twitchy for its size. It does fly great in higher speeds, but at slower speeds my plane was unstable wrt controlling the height. I wanted this to work due to it's size and balsa construction, not to mention a good price, but being too difficult to control for me I would give it a pass.

Great little plane. Flew it in 20k winds today and it was mental!

Just got this in the mail today. Very impressed with the overall quality and covering materials used. Covering film was applied professionally with no wrinkles or mistakes. Awesome kit, well worth the cost. Zero damage to the kit or anything else in my order, HK uses plenty of bubble wrap and large air paks for cushioning. :)



This plane is a little on the small side with a wingspan of just under 24 inches(600mm) and the fuselage and rudder together measure about 22 inches. Perfect for the backyard.



One thing to note is the RTF kit does not include landing gear. Tho a simple wire and 2 or 3 small wheels should be enough to keep the prop from eating grass on landing. This kit does include 4 control horns and 8 small z-bend metal rods. You may also need 3 ball joints for your servos to complete this build.
