programming card does not work with marine esc

I have purchase two of these programming cards for my Hobbyking 50A marine esc, but neither of them work. They don't even light up. I bought the second one in case I had made a mistake in setting up the first card. I studied the instruction manual very carefully to make sure I followed the correct procedure. Any advice would be appreciated.

This is the wrong card for Marine ESCs. For Marine ESCs you need the Marine programming card:
