This ESC has excellent pickup at low speed for those with "inertial" applications (*cough* rideable things).

I do an in-depth engineering study on these and other "200a" class Hobbyking ESCs. Just google "One Thousand Hobbyking Amps", without the quotes, and enjoy.

This product uses the P0603BDL fets which are rated to 25 volts. A small amount of overhead on their breakdown voltage means they can run up to 7S lipos, but not any more. 8S will likely cause breakdown and destruction very quickly.

I'm rating quality 4 because the heat sink on it came very close to touching the output wires - which would have certainly caused a short circuit burnout over time. In my application I use forced-air cooling with no heat sink, and it works fine.

I bought 5 and only burn one, not buy running it on a brushless, it was when I programmed it! Use a 2S Lipo in the programmation mode, or a standard lipo if you know where you're going. The ESC comes hot quickly and you will hear some "pop"

I used them on 2000 -3000 watts setup on 6S (100 to 135 amps). No problem, no overheating. The brake fonction works well, but it could be better.

Hope it will performe better then first impression. The Heat sink is very close to the 3 motor poles (where the motor cables is soldered to the ESC) also the ESC gets very hot while programming. Not good.

Is there any programming cards that can be used with this ESC?

With a Scorpion 4020 1100 Kv motor on 6s LiPo.

Modified it with a extra heat sink, works great for the money :)

1st) I had to repositioning the heat sink, else there where a schort circuit between the motor connections

2nd) while the programming the ESC becomes so hot that the ( ) wire desoldered itself.

This effected a short circuit on the board and a flame. I resoldered the ( ) wire and tryed again, but the same effect... cut of power to prevent worse things...

This ESC is a lowest quality produckt and should not be sold!!!

IT'S DANGEROUS, BEWARE TO BY THIS!!!
