Great plane when on sale....

Yes, the plane needs a bit of help from the builder, but with today's carbon fiber rods, the areas that need attention are an easy fix. Most builders HAVE the necessary items laying around, so when completed, this plane is a kick to fly and will last...as long as one doesn't slam it into the ground. Mine is way over powered at 500watts, but then, I like my planes to "dance" if you know what I mean. Wait for it to go on sale, and you won't be wasting your money....as others have said. I mean, an ARF for $50.00...how can one go wrong?????

I really enjoy this plane. it has plenty of room for the electronics, control surfaces work great. I used some epoxy on the center of the elevator, it was a weak point. this is my 2nd balsa plane and it has been in the air over 30 minutes and has survived 3 landings. I recommend this for beginners. I spent over $150 for my first balsa plane and it lasted about 90 seconds in the air.

buon modello leggero forse troppo e facilmente assemblabile, buone finiture ottimo per imparare acrobazie, non adatto al volo in condizioni di vento
unico difetto il piano di quota in particolare l'elevatore un po debole, da sistemare

Can't say much worse than everyone else. Found the same flaws both mechanically and manual errors. When I say manual I should say GUIDELINES. There are gaps and outright discrepancies throughout. For example, installing the elevator servo. The text specifically says to install the servo on the RIGHT side but all the pictures show the servo on the LEFT side. Luckily it doesn't seen to matter because the hole for the servo is cut out on both side and they're symmetrical. Unfortunately, the supplied pushrod is TOO SHORT.

If you've built planes before you CAN muddle through. I haven't gotten to the first flight yet so can't attest to that but I agree with the crappy design/materials. I've heard more than a couple *cracks* coming from the stringers and I usually aren't that ham-handed and am careful. They must have cleared out the "way too soft balsa" rack on this one.

By the way, I first saw this plane in the International warehouse and there were no reviews and the few comments weren't negative. I then switched to the US warehouse and just bought it. That'll teach me not to read BOTH sets. If I had, my $65 would have been spent elsewhere.

Terrible plane. The construction is so weak the control surfaces will actually flex, bow or whatever you want to call it. Apparently all balsa is not created the same. It also came out tail heavy even with a 3S 2200mah lipo pushed all the way forward. It did fly well for as cheap as it is constructed, but forget about about doing any kind of precision maneuvers. I managed to hover it but even knife edge required a lot of speed. I tossed it in the trash after the first flight. What a waste of money and time.

I received this from the US East warehouse quickly enough however can build it since I have no manual which is on a CD, not a booklet or paper manual! When packing my order for the 3Der, person put packing tape over the data side of the CD so useless.
Online support NO help...they just referred me to setting up a part ticket to product specialist??? Huh! If your luck, 24 to 48 hours before they act...
So much for HK's fast and fair service. As for the plane, well it sits un-built until and "if" I ever see the manual.

The quality of the aircraft is just so-so. The assembly is fairly easy but there are numerous errors in the manual. The plane actually flies OK but nothing special. Of course, it came from HK so my expectations were not high, anyway
