This charger has been amazing. It cost half what my Hyperion i1420 cost yet works just as good. The touch screen is the future and this feature needs to be on your next battery charger. I have found that I use this charger 1st and only fire up the i1420 when I'm doing multiple charges at once. This is the charger that goes with me to the track. I have found that it balances and maintains my batteries with the same precision of my Hyperion. The only gripe I have is that it has a maximum discharge rate of 3 amps. When I use this charger to put unused batteries into storage, it takes longer when storing large 5500 mah batteries. Other than that, great buy and incredible value.

Same problem as others. Less than a week of use, and the internal power supply is no longer working right. Was charging a 2S at 7A (~50W) and suddenly got error "input voltage too low". Now it won't charge anything more than about 15W. Better go with an external supply, rather than risk this same problem, especially for the price they charge for this thing.

I just received this unit and there is no way it can meet the rated criteria. It is smallish and won't have the power to meet its specs.
The other ridiculous thing is it comes with only a 18" power cord!!!! WTF!!! Who ever heard of that?!?! HK, if you are going cheap, why the 20 cent power cord???

Well, I really like this charger, but in under a week of use the AC power supply stopped working. It doesn't deliver enough power to the charger to operate. But the charger still works when I power it from an external 12v supply. I would return the charger for a replacement, but it's cheaper to just use an external power supply than to ship it back to HobbyKing, so that's what I'm doing. I'd still give this charger 2 crowns because I think it's an excellent charger with great features and very easy to use. But unfortunately mine doesn't work as it's meant to.

cons: included instruction manual is worthless and power cord is extremely short making it difficult to find somewhere to charge

It's very easy to use and the data displayed on the screen during charging is excellent. The fan does make noise while it's charging, but it's not terribly loud. For the price, 200W is a great amount of power, considering the value of the built-in AC power supply.
