I have been using these A123 packs now for two years without any cause for concern. They hold a charge on the shelf for indefinite periods without any degradation in discharge rate. I use them as both Rx packs and Engine ignition packs combined with a regulator.

I have on occasion completely discharged a pack and have been able to retrieve that pack by fooling it with a quick 12v dc charge to bring it up to a voltage recognized by smart chargers These packs I only use as ignition batteries untill certain of their reliability.

All in all these battery packs are very robust and reliable and are of high quality and excellent value. I would have no problem recommending them to any one for use in RC vehicles.

I have now bought 2 of these, very good battery pack for flight pack, at 2300mah I get a lot of fluing time, they charge quickly and deliver a superb drain curve. 1 gripe id that they come with a 3 cell ballance plug which you have to modify by cutting 1 part of the plug off and placing the terminal in the other socket, my charger thinks its trying to ballance charge a 3s pack, with modification to ballance plug all isw good.
