It's bit expensive but it's probably best thing for FPV,.. especially if you fly in all directions.
I was thinking about buying tracker first, but they are not 100% reliable.
It's easy to replace antennas for different ones if you like.
I switched my antennas for MenaceRC and also replace extension cables for RG402 coax and now it's perfect.

Cant save diversity settings

Over all this is an impressive unit, i can fly in any direction without having to worry about losing video signal, and i have been getting good range so far.
Only problem When you go into the special menu and change the diversity settings, after power cycle settings go back to default, which is very annoying as i wanted to mount this permanently on the roof of my vehicle with a small 25mW TX connected to its output and use as a repeater..

Overlord will not save changes to diversity

I ordered my first Overlord and it did not save the diversity or diversity time settings. I sent it back and bought a 2nd one. To my surprise it does the same thing. Every Quanum Overlord has inherent problem and HK does not care about quality issue with their product.

Great product...but...

This is working just fine.....but....
I got this and Fatshark goggles and there is no cabel in either package to P&P
Video/audio RCA out......who is using RCA, 99% is using this in fpv not in your home stereo.
So i have to buy a 3,5mm - 3,5mm audio video cable .
And the whole top with antennas was lose, you can push it down so it holds but if it get a turn it comes lose again, no screws to hold it so i glued it
I just bought it and the day after it was 44£ cheaper, ..great

The best investment so far...

This is perhaps the best investment I ever put on this hobby:-) Yes, I was a bit confused as HK online chat said there's audio channel but HK product team said no. But the audio problem becomes non-problem once I started using it. Yes, it's clumsy to carry around on a tripod that sort, but that also becomes a non-problem once the FPV experience got so much improved, all round 360 degree!!! I also do 2 to 6 ft low flying proximity and that's equally fine.
For the audio I am to use a separate receiver with a BT headphone to free my head from more wiring. After all there's already a tripod so no issue mounting more stuff on it:-)

I comply with regulations on low enough power vtx and I use both clover leaf and dipole antenna. No problem at all. It's a great tool for fpv acro proximity and racing. It's however not necessary for long range directional flying as then you might use a helical instead.

I suggested to the product team to put LED's next to the antenna so the active one will light up. Well, kind of useful to know which antenna is active sometimes.

The product might consider making the casing more resilient to falling off from the tripod as the wind can blow that down easily.

The knob to tighten the patch antenna is a bit difficult to reach.

I got 2 hrs use on a 2200mah 3s. No big deal to change bat. It's good to see there's a power switch. Should have also included an external power and AV cable for fatshark:-)

It's good to hear beeps when you fly around knowing it's working.

Overall, an excellent product. A must have for every race course:-)

I bought two of them but the audio channel is not been received on both.I would expect the audio channel to work on such expensive stuff.
Transmitters are Immersion RC AV transmitters which manage correctly the audio channel if the receiver is an RC805 low cost receiver.
Anybody with the same experience?

The Overloard Rules!

I have both the Quanum Overlord and Arkbird tracking systems. The overloard works extremely well, and is comparatively uncomplicated to use. While the Arkbird requires an on-board telemetry encoder, the Overlord uses passive means to lock-onto the FPV video source and follow it; you do not need to modify your vehicle at all to use the Overloard.

The Quanum Overlord works much better for in-close flying and will reliably track the FPV signal even within a smaller house; the result is a significantly superior video quality over the stand-alone devices. The Arkbird is not intended for such in-close work, though it excels for longer distances.

The Overlord's antenna array provides 360 degree coverage using flat-panel antennas. A cloverleaf antenna mounted in the middle takes over when the vehicle is not well positioned for pickup by the flat panel antennas. You can configure the Overlord to beep each time it selects a new antenna and it is quite impressive to fly all around and hear it switching -- all the while maintaining excellent video quality.

As with the Arkbird, you must run a cable from the Overlord to your goggles, and you must remain tethered by this cable during your flight. This means that the overlord will be within a meter or so at all times. The mounting hole is used to mount it to an inexpensive tripod.

The Overlord's software is quite sophisticated, and does a very nice job of pulling all of the data from those antennas into a useful spectrum analyzer. You can easily find and lock onto a noise/interference free channel in only a few moments. And because your headset is using the tethered AV connection -- you do not need to go searching for the signal in your headset after a new frequency is selected.

High marks for this innovative technology, which is effective, easy to used, and priced very reasonably compared to alternatives.

Quanum Overloard

I have a review of this unit on my channel and it performs quite well for mini quads. I will be testing range with my Legit Wing fohty soon.
Clarity of the image is crisp with no artifacts when receivers switch- it is seamless. I tested this from the top of a hill and at a drone race in a parking garage. The garage race was a great environment for testing- lots of cement walls, low ceilings with metal rebar and a generally noisy RF atmosphere. Most pilots who watched my lcd monitor feed agreed that the fpv transmission was very clear
