RCGF engines have proven themselves the world over for quality and reliability. The RCGF 30cc MK2 single cylinder side exhaust gas engine is the perfect choice for model aircraft where you want a lightweight unit with plenty of power. The MK2 version comes with new style DA ported head which provides even more power but still keeps the engine very easy to tune while still maintaining a smooth idle. Another difference with the MK2 engine is the composite insulator block that houses the reed valve and mounts between the Walbro carb and the engine. This insulator block helps stop heat transference from the engine to the carb for improved running. The supplied electronic ignition adjusts the timing automatically to give peak performance throughout the entire rev range.


The rear induction Walbro carburetor keeps the cross section of the engine slim which is perfect for scale airplanes with tight engine cowls. The engine includes standoffs for mounting to engine boxes and firewalls, spark plug, muffler and an electronic ignition module. Just add an ignition battery, prop, and mount it up to your favorite airplane.


A feature of RCGF engines is that every one is test run and the Walbro carburetor is tuned before it leaves the factory. However, due to different altitudes and weather conditions slight adjustments will be necessary when you run your engine for the first time.

The engine is performing well so far. I am breaking it in with a 32:1 oil mixture and am using Stihl ultra oil. I will burn one gallon of this mixture through the engine set rich. I will then peek out the RPM - 200 and use a 40 to 1 mix. I am running a regulated 6 volts to the ignition system. My plug gap is set at 30,000. I have a 18 10 prop installed on the engine. The engine is installed on a 74 in 30 cc corvus racer which I bought from general Hobby. I am using a HobbyKing Pitts style muffler and have a smoke oil pump installed in the air frame. I am waiting until the engine is fully broken in and will anticipate a good heavy smoke trail. I gave it one less star for overall because the standoffs were just a little too long for my application. I was fortunate to have standoffs that were the right length and used them. So far I am happy with the performance.the factory needle settings will get the engine running but use your own good sense to set it up for break in.

Such great quality I must buy another and only half the price of Dle! I do recommend that you buy this before they are gone!!!

Runs Great, you have to put finger over carb intake to draw fuel into carb, couple of flicks of the prop and it starts right up. I had to open high end needle valve 1 turn on carb, throttle transition is fast and smooth, using an 18x8 for break in, 30 to 1 mix, runs good inverted. have read in other reviews about pegasus cdi going out or being bad, not so, just use a 4 cell nicad for ignition, make sure plug cap is pressed on all the way, you have to press Hard, and NEVER turn on ignition without a plug connected to cap!!! doing so may burn out the CDI.
