Well balanced but did not really produce that much thrust. Blades very inclined at the blade root, not optimal. Shaft hole 5.5mm, so it was hard to adapt it to the motor shaft of 3mm. Will not buy this again.

(continuing from other post) Warhead motors. A 500 to 800 watt motor is needed to get serious thrust through a small diameter housing. My F16 airframe only model is still on target for 500 grams all up weight, but having full ailerons and flying hstab it is ok.

These are extremely durable fans NOT made of cheap plastic, but glass filled nylon. They are similar to the material used in my Dynamax fan. The rotors do NOT include the nose cone screw, the rotor mounting nut and neither do the motor shaft adapters I recieved, so unless you order the complete fan you have no other way to hold the nose cone and rotor to the adapter.

For the not so faint of heart, there is a solution I have decided to pursue since the 51mm fan is always back-ordered. I have an extra Dynamax motor mount that has the perfect inside diameter for this rotor to install inside and compared to all but the metal fans this is next to bullet proof. The walls are very thick and no flexing is going to happen. I will fabricate an aluminum motor mount with the motor in front and mount the rotor backwards onto the motor shaft adapter so that it pushes forward into the motor when running. Just glue the cone downstream on some stator vanes and put a little daub of glue to hold the rotor and adaptor as one. The next thing to do is make stator vanes. I plan on cutting up some old GWS fans to use the vanes. These rotors have what it takes to make some serious push with the right motors. I use Cyclone Power CS-450-4500. I expect to yield way more thrust than the original fan could offer. My next choice is HK2836, but they need big ventallation holes in the spinner like the War

fan also comes without adaptor and without the little screw that holds the spinner onto the adaptor.. Fy the entire fan unit it's Much cheaper.

PUT THIS IN A ALFA MODEL MIG 15 WITH THE MP JET MOTOR AND 25 AMP EFLITE ESC , AND PULLS AROUND 20 AMPS RUNNING A 3 CELL 2100 MAH AND FLY 6-8 MINUTES FULL THROTTLE. IT HAS A 55MM FAN
