This is a beautiful scale model of a 2-6-4 steam locomotive that was used by the Austrian Federal Railways (OB) from 1945 onwards. The attention to detail is second to none, the pushrod system replicates the real thing to perfection, elaborately designed wheels and other intricate details including the cab interior make this a model to be proud to own.
The 5 pole electric motor is fitted with a flywheel to aid smooth and slow running and there is also drive to the tender as well as the main wheels via a drive shaft. The loco is digital ready according to NEM 652 standards for the fitting of a digital decoder. It is also fitted with dual headlights that change with the direction of travel as well as being equipped with digitally switchable sound functions. The coupling supplied are of the NEM 362 standard close coupling type.
