Installed in a MiniTelemaster with a 3S 1000mah LiPo and a Bm 2410-9 motor. First dozen flights, it was great. Then it began to shut down the motor several minutes into the flight. When I land, it feels quite warm but not hot. However, it will run indefinitely in my shop with the aircraft tied down...17 minutes full power. Weird! Changed batteries, no difference.

When the motor quits, the controls still work fine so I can bring the airplane "home" if it's not too far out over the lake! As soon as it lands, it will fly again, but for a reduced time period.

Great product, well priced and reliable. No one has mentioned so far but certainly with my recently purchased (01/2012) esc it can DEFINITELY be programmed with white turnigy programming card as used for turnigy plush/sentry series. I assume it has the same micro controller. Anyway it certainly makes a cheap controller even better value

This is the gamble you are involved in when you order from Hobby King. In almost 80 orders over 96pcnt of the products have been awesome - I mean, for the price of the items from HK it's absolutely worth the gamble. But once in a while you get something that is broken, damaged or non-functional, and that's what I got with one of these Tower Pro 18A ESCs. Totally and completely non-functional right out of the package (immediately replaced with a used 20A ESC & the foamie took right off-just a little more weight than I had intended). And if you have ever tried to get warranty from HK you know it's pretty much a waste of time. First they want photos (a photo of a DOA ESC? Really?), they want you to ship it back to China (Done customs paperwork lately? And the cost of shipping is usually more than the original cost of the item),and when all else fails they play the language barrier card - by then you just plain give up. I have tried five times to get warranty from HK on bad product and have never succeeded. I'm just thankful none of them were high dollar items. So I continue to gamble with HK because in the long run they save me a substantial amount of money on this addiction called RC Airplanes.

Nice piece of item. Comes in a sealed bag with manual. No bat connector soldered. No heatsink wich makes it light.

ESC TowerPro size of 18 to 30 bad ESC. a really good ESC supports 18A to spare.
