Cool motor but can't really rate it

Wish I could rate this cool motor, but the ESC I bought had no battery input leads or BEC. I'm sitting with 2 motors, 2 worthless ESC and a programming Card I will probably never use. Awaiting 2 new ESC w/BEC to arrive.

Good performance for weight, works with folding prop

This motor and the 2900 kv version are my favorite motors for smaller gliders--converted 1 m DLGs and foam high-grade toy gliders like the FX707. They work well with a 4.7x2.3 folding prop.

Poor design

The wires connecting the ESC to the motor are really thin and as they are covered in insulation tube the point where they join the motor is easily bent. One wire on my motor snapped very quickly so it was u/s. Suggest reinforcing the joining point with epoxy or similar to avoid this happening.

Working well on my Nutball with a 6030 prop, Plush 10a esc, 2s battery.

First nutball i built using a multi-star 1104 3100kv motor. Because of the mounting its pretty much permanent once mounted... Works well enough until you encounter some frontal damage. Tried the 1811 because the motor mounts are accessible.

As noted under the international reviews/discussion the motor wires need to be protected or not subject to abuse/improper handling.

Great little motor for a pusher microjet such as the X16 chuck glider. Weight rtf is about 100g, and it goes like a missile on a GWS 3x3 prop, 350 2s Lipo.
